A Full Plate Cafe - best vegan brunch in the city. Granola crusted french toast! Homefries with leeks!!
I'm going here on Sunday for the first time. I'm suuuuuuper excited about granola-crusted french toast. Whoa.
Its good, id say the best french toast in the city as well. their tofu scrable imo isnt that great, but thats because I dont like huge chunks of tofu.

I love their french toast and the fact that the home fries are sweet potatoes and regular potatoes. My favorite thing ever was blackberry pancakes that were on the menu as a special last winter. They had these huge whole blackberries popping out the sides of the pancake, and the batter had mashed butternut squash. I think they've made them a regular item with a different fruit of the season, and I recently had peach ones, which were undercooked and made me sad. I still have hope for them and will try them again, whatever fruit it is. I also love their mac n'cheese.

hmm really? I had it once and had way too much lemon. Guess ill have to try it again since the only legit mac and cheese ive ever had was from Soul Vegetarian.
I know this should go in a separate "A Full Plate" thread, but... to finish the current mac n' cheese exchange... The only other mac n' cheese I had was at Curly's and it just tasted like tumeric and nutmeg and grossness. (Sorry to all the Curly's fans). So I was pretty thrilled about the one at "A Full Plate." Maybe if I'd gone to Soul Veg and had a different level to compare it to, I wouldn't be as excited. My sister thought it tasted a little mustardy, but I didn't notice the lemon.

...I would really recommend A Full Plate Cafe in Northern Liberties for brunch, it's probably the best in the city for price, quality and quantity. Their granola-crusted french toast and YUM homefries are really nice...and they usually have a vegan baked good they give out complimentary. You can eat for 2 there for under $20, which I like a lot.

A Full Plate's french toast is amazing. And it's in my neighborhood! Speaking of french toast in my neighborhood, Dos Segundos makes a pretty good one. REALLY sweet though, kind of like a funnel cake.
