There's a new raw restaurant in Wayne called Raw Can Roll! I'm home for a little bit and one of the first orders of biz was to check this place out. Oh my goodness it was amazing. I went with my mom who was completely blown away and can't wait to go back (neither can I). We had sprouted sunflower hummus, which was definitely the best raw hummus I've ever had, along with the best raw crackers I've ever had. We also shared the taco special, with taco meat made from sunflower seeds, I think, and potato salad made from jicama. Then dessert was chocolate ganache. Damn. It was all just so delicious. The people were really nice too. It cost more than the usual lunch but considering how expensive raw food usually is, and considering how much we ordered, it wasn't bad. For 2 juices (kale, cucumber, celery, beet), taco plate special, appetizer, side, dessert, it was $38. Not bad. And, the best part, they have a frequent customer card and it's not every visit that gets a punch, it's every $10 spent. So we're like almost halfway to whatever the 10th thing gets you. Pretty cool.
