This new menu is ruining my life. I can't get out of there without spending at least $16. I want everything. My favorite meal is: small bbq wings, roasted veggies, chickpea parm. I take half the parm home, so it's like Xmas the next day.

Lol. Yet another place I need to check out. Even before I made the switch to vegan I was digging on Virginio's veggie (cheese free) pizza. A nice pie available in South Philly from a place that is.otherwise not too laden with vegan options.

Best pies in South Philly (in my opinion) are Francoluigi's and Santucci's tomato pies! Francoluigis you get more bang for your buck, but I think I like Santucci's crust more.

do you have to specify anything specific to get those pies vegan? (ie no sprinkle cheese?)

Eric, I always specify "no cheese" just in case.

I went there once with an omni friend who is allergic to nuts and soy. Best idea ever! We shared a harvest pizza (I think?) and had fries and salad. She was super excited by the fries too because they come from real spuds :P She lives in North Carolina ATM and misses real potato fries. She also raved about the dressing although I thought it was not spectacular.

It was also hilarious because that day there was a woman with a child, and the kid was obviously hungry and in a bad mood, and he cried "I don't want vegan food, it does not taste good". Yep my omni friend thought it was hilarious!

I am looking forward to try that place again!

My husbannd and I went here when we were in Philly and it was amazing. We love pizza and don't mind a bit of greasy.. the 'hot wings' were friggin amazing.. and the pizza too. We got one of the ones with garlic.

Blackbird is now making cookies in house instead of getting Vegan Treats. I havnt been but my buddy said there are two he tried, 1 with lots of different things (potato chips, pretzels, chocolate chips, etc) in it called the kitchen sink and one with coffee beans called buzz i think.

they also plan on making square pies, i believe a traditional tomatoes pizza and a potato one as well... not sure when the pizzas will actually hit the menu though.

Vegan doughnuts in Philly would ruin me. Like, absolutely ruin me. In the best way possible.

Oh, how I miss Blackbird (had to move away for a job). Every time I visit, though, I get a slice and then a Cubano sandwich to go. I love that sandwich so much. Next time I'm there, I will definitely try the wings.
