Soooo, when I saw this I thought that one of my single greatest fear had come true: that I'd be sitting in Blackcore or Grindbird, talking with my outdoor voice (the only one I have) and some cool PPKer would hear me because I'm a loudmouth jerk. But then I remembered my other post, which is on a different page of the thread. Not that running into a PPKer there is fearsome, but I'd just die if I was being my usual loud self and, well, anyway the Yukon is GREAT. So is the nacho. I didn't have a sandwich this time, though, and I wasn't completely unable to order food coherently from the girl who is always working there. So cute. So nice.

Fries. No cake.

Yo! And welcome! I am indeed a grad student at "The iSchool" though I'm in the Ph.D. program. I study workplace use of social network technology. Yawn. But yeah, it's a neat school, especially the MIS/MLS programs, which have a better reputation than the Ph.D. program. Which program are you going to be in come the Fall?

Wow!! I just ate at Blackbird tonight. Best vegan pizza ever!!!

FINALLY ate here yesterday. had pepperoni pizza and tried my friend's bbq portabello sandwich. both were top notch.

Finally got to try the sandwiches- tofu cubano, seitan cheesesteak and the eggplant grinder. MMMM, all so good! I think the cubano has stolen my heart though. I loved the pepperoni.

On Sunday we had a Philly day with consisted of Ikea, South Street, Blackbird for some slices, more South Street, calling in a takeout order at Blackbird, then ending with a Grindcore drive by for coffee and snacks.

Pizza = Veggie Supreme with added seitan sausage! To Die For!

I ate pizza and vegan treats cake for two days. Sadly it is all gone, I don't know if I can make it through the rest of the week now.

I finally tried the garlic bread... was a bit underwhelmed. Mostly because just doesn't make sense. It's a bread-side, with a sandwich? Or a slice of pizza? Doesn't make much sense to me. I left without a piece of Bomb, too, which makes very little sense.

I for one reject this notion that bread is not an acceptable side for a bread-based meal.

Yeah I don't really understand these emotions I'm having. Also, I was bothered by the eggplant on the South Philly. I'm not bothered by eggplant on anything, ever. I'll have eggplant on eggplant with a side of aubergine ala melongene because that's how I feel about the purple wonder. Maybe it's stress.

...and I often eat like one! Quantity-wise, at least.

Tonight I had the Margherita Pizza with pepperoni and sausage. Tasty!

Has anyone gotten it delivered? I saw that they deliver but I feel bad always about making people bring me my food. Also...I can't order an entire pizza since I'm just one person. Will they bring me one piece? Or...do I NEED to order a whole one :P

Sure you can! I get whole ones from Ed's sometimes and just have leftover pizza for a couple of days.

I live around the corner. We'll split a pie if they bring an extra box.

Blackbird accessibility is just one of the reasons I'm looking forward to the eventual return of biking weather.

I've had Blackbird delivered but then I immediately felt bad when the delivery person showed up on a bike and it was starting to snow outside...

From 6th and Lombard to 3rd just past Spring Garden is not so far, but I have called for delivery 3 times and they only said yes once, because it was a slower day.

Was so worth it, though! I imagine it will be easier to get past the delivery radius when the weather is nice.

I live just outside the delivery radius, but closer than some places in the radius. I've been wondering how they'd take a request for delivery. Good to know you've had success- I'll try sometime.

Did they get a Sicilian crust or a tomato pie yet? I remember discussion of both.
