I haven't been to the art museum yet, but hope to go soon. How many floors is it?

Three. Though the ground floor is mostly the cafe and shop.

I went to a presentation today for new members and learned some neat trivia about the museum. Mostly I learned that I really need to see more of the museum. There's a Japanese tea house?! I also learned about the Perelman Building, which I've never been to but will be going to asap, especially to see the design pieces. Apparently there's a library in there, too. Score.

How have you guys not seen the Japanese tea house?

It's a really big museum! It's easy to miss stuff. (I've never seen it either.)

I spend like 5 hours in the museum every time I go. You have to see it!

My limited experiences in the museum I think come from only (or mostly) going to special events like Art After Five and not going just to wander around. And then when I do go to wander around, I just head straight for the Pollocks and the Twomblys. I'm a creature of habit, what can I say...

The art museum is an all day event for us. Up early, breakfast, drive & park, walk around as much as we can handle, hit the cafe for a snack, finish, head over to the Perelman, back to the art museum, walk over to the pavilion and down to the water, visit the water works, and then finally when my feet are killing me and I can no longer stand, we head to Govindas for some grub! (At least that's how it happened a few months ago when we went)

If the weather is nice we will pack a picnic and leave it in the car. Then when we get hungry we will pick a tree down by the water and hang out there for a while before going back in for round two.

Sundays are great for this. They used to do "Pay what you wish" every Sunday, now I think it is just the first Sunday of every month.
