Hello fellow Philly vegans!

I am running a workshop at Magic Gardens beginning on October 6th and running for 7 consecutive Sunday mornings. It's called Harry Potter and the Art of Empowerment. Ask me about a vegan discount!

Here is the press release:

We all know the story of Harry Potter - an abused young boy discovers that he is a powerful wizard and together with his friends, faces a series of challenges that culminate in his emergence as a true hero. This extraordinary text contains some remarkable metaphors for facing adversity, accessing one's power and transcending the traumas of one's past.

This interactive, 7-part workshop uses themes from J.K. Rowling's series to promote self-actualization through creative engagement with the text. Each week, the group will examine a specific element of the story, reflect on its personal relevance and complete an art project that corresponds with the theme.

The workshop will be facilitated by Sondra Rosenberg, ATR-BC and Lauren Bohy, a local mural painter and sculptor. It will run for 7 consecutive Sundays beginning on October 6th, from 9am - 11:30am, at Philadelphia's Magic Gardens. Cost is $350 for the entire workshop. Sign up with Allison Boyle at events@phillymagicgardens.org.
