Oh I hope you make it too! They are still canceling flights for tonight (and arrivals are listed as canceled too) but I am praying that tomorrow all is normal.

My office had a two hour delay so I did make it into work. I got up at my normal time and shoveled our walkway and sidewalk and cleaned off my husband's truck (I knew my car would never make it out of the alley so I was using his). After I made it out to the main road everything was clear and the blue route was fine. Let's hope this is the only snow of the season.

SING IT, sister.

It's supposed to be in the 40's on Friday and Saturday so I'm hoping this shiitake melts away into a horrible memory and we don't have to think about it ever again.

Snow haters gonna snow hate. Scandalous.

I look forward to returning and hating, too. Blackbird will seem so much more far away.

Everything is so much further away. It took me like 10 minutes to walk to Fuh-Wah this afternoon. Fuh-Wah is 2 blocks from my apartment.

I am snowed in with my in-laws here in South Jersey and I feel like I could seriously vomit. I'm so angry right now, as if we left early yesterday morning, I could have been back in upstate NY with one of my poor kitties that is dying. My husband was under the false pretense that the roads would be free and clear this morning (even though I disagreed with this crazy prediction about a day and a half ago). I feel like I could punch him and Mother Nature in the face right now. For reals.

Ohh no I am so sad and angry for you! I hope you make it home to your kitty soon.

It sounds like Philly may have gotten it worse than here in New Hampshire...or at least, NH can deal with it better than Philly. Is it unreasonable to hope that it might be all gone by the time I get back on Wed? At least I only need to make it a few blocks from Market East to home.

Thanks Dynahmite! We finally got back to NY around 10:30pm tonight and even were able to stop by Govinda's in Philly on the way up so I could get a chicken cheesesteak for the car ride. I just finished loving and kissing all of my kitties. I feel like Dorothy in the Wizard of Oz, "There's no place like home. There's no place like home." I'm clicking my red sparkly slippers!

Philly (at least some of the main roads) weren't as bad as I had expected. I think you'll be fine for Wednesday. Good luck!

Having just come from New York, I can tell you the difference is night and day as far as snow cleanup. The platform, stairs, and parking lot at the Chestnut Hill SEPTA station are spotless, and there is no sign of ice or snow on the street up here.

Yup! I had to carpool with the hubs this morning so he didn't have to drive his truck in the snow. It didn't do so well last time. So I had to wake up at 5am and now I am sitting at work (many hours before I normally get here) with nothing to do. YAY. I am obviously PPK'ing to pass the time.

I actually beat the snow and the horrible commute this morning. So I'm not that upset by the snow today. I just wish I didn't have to wake up at 5am to do it! And hopefully it will be done snowing and the roads will be clear by the time I ready to go home.

And by blast do you mean you got blasted in the face by cold bits of white icy fluff?

Yeah, this time, I'm going to have to be on the anti-snow team. I flipping skidded off the road while driving down 202.

I don't understand how it is NOT a complete ice rink out there. FREEZING! If it's gonna be this cold, it really ought to just snow already.

I was out walking around a little bit ago and it's not really icy at all. I'm pretty happy about that part.

More snow tomorrow, apparently. A lot this time.

I also have jury duty tomorrow.

BEST DAY EVER.

I actually like the snow, buuut I went to the store for my weekly shopping and it was already a madhouse. And they were sold out of a lot of canned beans and frozen veggies! I wasn't even trying to stock up, just getting my regular shopping on.

There is my snow complaint.
