I looooove the city when there's a snow day and (almost) nobody comes in to work. Everything feels super-local and cozy.

I'm going to have to do laundry tonight. I hope it's not chaos in there.

Agreed. I'm just happy that I should be out of work tomorrow before the snow starts.

As much as I dislike the snow, my mind is all set for a day off or at least a delayed opening tomorrow so if we end up getting two inches tomorrow morning and I have to go to work regular time I'm gonna be miffed.

Outside of side streets, the roads are pretty clear. I'm at work, which I am happy about since I had to miss it yesterday for jury duty. Digging my car out was less of a chore than I expected since it's light, fluffy snow.

I feel like a jerk because I called off of work this morning at 8 because the parking lot at my apartment complex wasn't plowed very well, and my car can't take snow for crepe. I went back to bed, and by the time I got up again, it was a completely different picture. I probably could've gone in after all . . .

I'm just terrified of driving in the snow.

It's ok! Today was SUPPOSED to be a snow day. Stupid reality.

My car was completely cocooned in a hard candy shell of ice this morning. It took about 20 minutes to scrape/knock it all off.

So over cold shiitake falling from the sky.

I almost got hit by a car this morning ! Sooo scary. I was crossing Walnut at 18th and I had a green light, but a car made the left turn even though I was about 2/3 to the other side - as in, there was no question that anyone looking could see I was already past the middle of the intersection. So either the crasshole wasn't looking where she was going, or the crasshole turned without looking and then saw me and couldn't stop. It was terrifying. When I realized the car wasn't stopping, I just JUMPED as far and as high as I could to get away from it. Hurt a lot. And all morning at work I was shaking.
