For the unaware, it's an Indian grocery and "restaurant" at Chestnut and 42 [
google place page]. It's a small grocery store with lots of English and Indian goodies - especially chips in flavors that you don't really find much in the U.S. There's a kitchen and eatery in the back. It is not a restaurant experience. They write their menu on a whiteboard, separating meat and non-meat dishes with a dozen options from each side. You write down on a piece of paper what you want, and someone - sometimes a small child who hangs out there watching Bolly on the TV - brings it to you. If you don't know what something is, you can ask, and they'll tell you. Pretty good stuff.
