So I finally tried this place because I found out my friend is the delivery guy and he told me they deliver to west philly. My guy and I ordered the seitan cheesesteak wrap, meatball wrap, fries, macncheese, a chocochip coconut congo bar and a tropical muffin. I really like Nicks based on principle (vegan, affordable and they deliver!) however I think the food needs just a little work. Like some spice mix (even just salt and pepper) added to the cheesesteak and making a roux-based macncheese instead of just adding daiya to pasta. That was a lil dissapointing. The congo bar on the other hand was perfect, really really good!

I will have to try their entrees next time!

im with yah. i think that if the cheesesteak wrap had a sauce or something it would be delish. I added a good helping of redhot to it when I ate the rest at home and liked it much better.

also agree with the congo bar, their desserts are mighty tastey. I figure theyve been doing desserts for a bit and maybe the non-dessert food needs some time to develop.

still waiting to get legit mac & cheese in philly. we had some in nyc the other day and it was kick asparagus.

The West Cafe (http://thewestcafe.com/), they have a vegan waffle brunch thing every sunday i think. the "mac and yeese" is some of the best ive had.

went there yesterday after a ride and I spoke too soon, they had the philly cheese steak w marinara. i didnt get it but my buddy did and said it was real good.

I got food from Nick's this past Saturday. I got the seitan philly cheesesteak wrap with fried onions & mozarella, and my boyfriend got the seitan cheesesteak wrap with the pizza sauce. We also got chili cheese fries, and a muffin with pineapple and coconut, and also a slice of some blueberry bread. We asked which kind of cheese they use since we don't really like Daiya and they said they use Teese. I thought everything was really good! Hooray for another all vegan place in Philly!

Someone has put up Nicks Vegan stickers all over the Penn campus! I keep seeing them on the light posts. :-) If I ever make it to that part of town I'll check it out!

I went to Nicks a few weeks ago with a non-vegetarian (but open minded) friend, and we both really enjoyed it. We got the philly cheesesteak and the chili fries. I also really liked their artwork and though the people working there were nice!
