I went here for the first time last night. It's surely different than my destroy your liver days at the original khyber back in the not-so-distant day. They have some interesting vegan options. Last night I had a hefe weiss beer, vegan buttered popcorn with cajun seasoning, and a suprisingly delicious cornmeal crusted chkn seitan poboy on a really long roll (read: big sandwich!) With lettuce, tomatoe, pickles, veganaise and creole mustard, side of fries. Reasonably priced, too. I can see myself coming back, its got a nice vibe going on a weekday night.
They also have a vegan pulled pork sandwich and I think one other entree option as well as vegan deserts.

Nice!! I, too, lament days recently passed when the khyber was only a liquid-dinner situation.

OH I've never been but Dos Segundos gave me like 10 free beer coupons to Khyber. Anyone who goes there, let me know and they are all yours!

Eric. and I were at the Khyber yesterday for lunch and they had fliers up for a Vegan Cocktail Party. It's Wednesday, February 23rd and starts at 6pm. There will be vegan drinks and vegan and vegetarian food specials.
On another note, our meal there yesterday was a lot better than the first time we went. They had a vegan muffaletta as the special and it was out of this world.

I just wound up here today by accident. I was at the Art Star craft bazaar on Penns Landing and we decided to leave and find a lunch spot. Low and behold I find this place!
The vegan fried chicken poboy was extra good! And I had an awesome piece of vegan chocolate chip cake. The sandwichand fries was only 10 bucks and it was a lot of food. Personally I dont like beer, but they have a ton of it!
Very nice chill place to eat with vegan options clearly labeled. Good deal!

I got a dishtowel made from recycled flour sacks, a t-shirt for my husband, a wristlet, and.two gifts for people. All of that was under 100 bucks!

I didnt see the vegan sausage as an option for the po boys? Maybe they make you one if you ask. I should try that next time.

It might've been a special? I don't know; I've never been there. My roommate works by the Khyber so he goes there for lunch all the time & brings me his leftovers so I can try it too

I'm finally going here tonight for the first time! What should I get? I've tried the vegan sausage & vegan popcorn chicken po'boys & the collards, thanks to my roommate & his generosity with leftovers. I want to try something new!

They had vegan bbq pork on their menu, which I'm assuming is jackfruit? Maybe seitan? Looked interesting. The only thing I've heard about it is that it's messy

Finally went there for the first time last night! I got the seitan sausage sandwich (which was delicious after I put some mustard on it) & the collards. Holy hell the collards were good. I also stole a few of my friend's french fries, which were good. Next time I'm going to try the vegan pork for sure.
