Are there any good yarn stores that sell vegan yarn in the Philly area? There are a couple chain stores out here in Springfield, and there's one local place in Swarthmore but it only has like two choices of vegan yarn and they both (a) suck and (b) are way too expensive.

I've become obsessed with knitting lately and I don't really want to buy yarn on the internet because the whole fun of yarn shopping is to fondle everything.

I honestly have no clue, since I dont buy yarn. But maybe Pearl Art on South St. or Etsy. You might be able to find a local seller on Etsy.

If Pearl Art is the place I'm thinking of, they have a very minimal selection of vegan yarn (if any). Though I haven't been there in a while, so I could be mistaken.

Loop has a few vegan yarns. It is sat 19th and South. I was in there earlier today to sign up for a class and I inquired about animal-free yarns. The lady pointed out several different yarns that were suitable. A few were all-cotton, and one was a fancy bamboo/modal/something or other mix. Not a ton, but definitely a few to choose from. I would imagine they're not particularly cheap, though.

Sadly, Pearl closed last year. :(

I had no idea they closed. The huge mega sign is still there.
