I just found out that I have to go to Norristown Monday (afternoon I think) to argue a motion in court. Omg. I haven't yet been to court at all, let alone argued anything in front of a non-teacher. I'm so f-ing nervous I can't breathe. Best part? It's in a case I never heard of until today.
ANYWAY! I don't know Norristown. I don't drive, and it looks like the train station is near the courthouse, but I'm ass-bopping nervous. Would love to know more about the area! And, obviously, is there any food around there? (for when I'm finished, since I will without doubt throw up anything in my stomach beforehand.)

GOOD LUCK!! I would be terrified too. CarrotMonogamy & fam live in Norristown so they should be able to give you some info. I'll be thinking of you!

I work in Norristown. There is nothing vegan here, at least not that I've seen.

The Norristown Transportation Center is definitely walkable from the courthouse.

There are no vegetarian restaurants in Norristown. I've only been to one or two places that are walkable from the courthouse and neither is worth your time. There may be veg-friendly options that I don't really know about...

I'll be working away if it's definitely Monday, but depending on when you're available you might be able to work out something with carrotmonogamy (and littlemonogamy).

I work in Norristown and yes, the train is just a block away. Vegan food is not easy to find. Behind the courthouse is a Planet Hoagie. They have a roasted veggie hoagie that (I believe) is vegan if you leave the cheese off. Maddie's on the corner of Main and Swede is a little coffee house that, sometimes, has soy milk. There is also a Chinese take out on Main about half a block down and across from Maddie's. That's all I know because I only have a half hour for lunch so I don't waste my time trying to find something, I just bring my lunch.

I was born there and I go there as infrequently as possible ... hopefully never. Let us know if you found anything veg there.

I had jury duty there once when I was 18 years old and got confused with all their one-way streets. I ended up driving over the bridge to Bridgeport scared as anything; I was a nervous kid. I ended up sobbing in the police station in Bridgeport because I stopped in there, not knowing what else to, and I was overwhelmed at that point, nervous I would get in trouble for missing jury duty. Luckily the nice policemen helped me out, but ever since then I have had a queasy feeling in my stomach just at the thought of going to Norristown.

My hearing was canceled but I'm sure I'll be going there sometime soon.

It's been a long time since I've been there, but I remember it being... not awesome. I had a hard time finding something to eat even as just a vegetarian. This was like six or seven years ago at least though.
