The next event is at my new favorite gastropub, the Khyber Pass Pub! Tuesday, April 19th!

https://www.facebook.com/home.php#!/eve ... 5715944189

This is a night for all you, Vegans, Vegetarians and the Veg-Curious.

Have you heard of Khyber Pass Pub's Bacon Popcorn? Come get the vegan version. This night will also be showing off Vegan Chili, Gumbo and Muffulettas! Every chalkboard special will be vegan or vegetarian.

Super tasty vegan brews will be pouring like Dark Horse Brewing's Raspberry Ale.

A portion of the night's proceeds benefit the Food Trust, a Philadelphia nonprofit devoted to providing nutrition education and greater availability of affordable, healthy food.

Yes, I went! They had 3 vegan soups, an AMAZING artichoke bisque (topped with roasted poblanos), a charred tomatoe bisque and one other that I forgot. Bacon salt popcorn, a roasted veggie moufalata sandwich, fried okra with an alabama style white bbq sauce, a few vegetarian options plus their regular already vegan menu options such as the fried seitan po boy, pulled pork sandwich and a sausage sandwich. They also had a bunch of drink specials such as a banana hefe weizen and a drink named after natalie portman who isn't even vegan anymore. It was still a nice after work event and i'm a big fan of the khyber, I hope they continue these.
