I got two tickets to this Thursday's taping!!! Wheeeee! I'm so sososo excited. It's my goal to tell a story in the red chair. And get flipped.
So I got two - who wants to come? Email or pm if so! Or just post here. They say to line up by 5pm (they overbook so you still have to get there early) but I think you're really supposed to go as early as possible, like 4pm for a solid shot. It should be over by 9pm (whereupon we would go to Tibits for the end of vegan drinks!). Yayayay Graham I <3 you.

ooh, i was thinking about going to Vegan Drinks this week! i don't know much about Graham Norton or his show, but i'll go with you if you can't find anyone else!

Guys it was AMAZING! Miriam Margolyes, will.i.am, Greg Davies, and Adam Lambert. Eeee! will.i.am started off boring, but Miriam, oh my Lard, she saved him and turned it into the most ridiculously offensive and hilarious show. You must watch (tomorrow I think)! I can't wait to go again!
Also the red chair stories were SO boring, so I'm mad I wasn't chosen. So I have to go again to get that. Also I got there so early that I was SECOND in line, yet at 6pm 300 people with priority tickets showed up so I was seated almost in the back. Laaame.

Sounds like fun! But you didn't come to drinks after!

I know, I didn't get out until 915 ish, and by the time I got unlost and on the tube back to the city it was way too late for me. :) When's the next one?

I'm watching the show right now! Miriam Margolyes and will.i.am. are super funny against each other!

So I watched the version that aired -- they cut so much of her dirty story at the end! So there was ANOTHER man in the meadow watching as she 'helped out' the soldier, and when she was finished with the first she helped out the other one! Someone said something about her being a sexual Mother Theresa or something hilarious that obviously had to be cut. Also, she was harping on will.i.am's use of 'like' so much more; it was great. OH oh and 3 people told stories in the chair but they cut all of them so they could air will.i.am's fake one, I guess. One older woman said "I'm from ___" and Graham said "Oh lovely what do you do there?" and she said blankly "I live there." It was hilarious, and that's why will.i.am said "I live there" during his turn and why everyone laughed. Sad that they cut that; it was so brilliant. The other stories sucked so that's ok.

I watched it last night. I really wanted to dislike will.i.am because he's done/said some questionable things re: women, but then he was talking about all the money he's given to charity. How can you dislike someone who gave £500,000 to the Prince's Trust and raised $7mil for a centre to get underprivileged kids (focusing on girls) into STEM? I still hate his music, but I'm reassessing my view of him as a person. Until he does something douche-y again.

And Miriam. OMG - I'm so seeing her show at the Fringe. A while back, someone posted (somewhere - I can't remember) this YouTube video of her on Graham Norton telling another story along those same lines, but it was about American GIs.

I didn't think it was possible to summarise our entire night in two sentences, but I think this covers about everything.
