Helloooo London and environs!
So I have made actual decisions, and I am coming o'er there February 1! For 'living' (but really for a month and a half to look for a job and hopefully find one before I have to do too many back and forth trips). But, the purpose of this post is to ask you to be my friend. :) My partner works insane hours and I'm going to be there pretty much alone, wandering the streets and asking strangers to sponsor my work visa, so I'm going to need some fun vegan times and hang outs. And how! Don't make me beg, or bribe you with VWG.

That's so exciting! I'm starting a new job in Jan after doing the same thing, so am proof it can be done. Massive doses of luck and positive job-juju to you, and I also have no friends so will totally hang out with you.

Obviously I'll be your British BFF! We'll have to start another thread when you know dates so we can start planning some hangouts!

I'm bloody miles away, but I'll be your BFF in spirit and in real life if I can make it up to London on the megabus!

I <3 you all! So exciting. I've never lived with someone before so I expect to need many playdates on my own, haha.

I can do London if there's cake involved.

Then you're coming on the weekend that I am coming. Ruby Rose and cake sounds lovely. I sense a meetup in the works.... Hana, you in as well?

I'll try to make (cup)cake(s)... or just buy lots of good stuff to eat and entice you all with it so we have a good time?
I've never been to London, so it will be fun! Or I guess it could be awful.... but if there is cake, nothing is that bad.

Saturday 10th February?

Or... how about Sunday 11th February? And we could meet up in Greenwich? It's been a long time since I was there, and the markets are fun on a Sunday.

I was planning on coming down on the 17th or 18th.
No school, etc. But if the 10th/11th is better for others, I can try that....
(Just let me know so I can request time off work!)

Friday is the 10th and Saturday is the 11th of February. I can't make the 10th cause of work, but I could do the Saturday and following Sunday. The 10th is also my birthday and it'd be lovely to celebrate with PPKers! I just need to know if I need to book accommodation or anything.

Ok, so I shall request the weekend of the 11-12 off then and we'll see what happens!
You'll get in on the 1st, right RJM? That's enough time to get over jet lag and such, yeah?

That sounds good for a big gathering! But other locals, don't forget I'll be available during work days!

Ooh, I might be able to do that weekend if I can get a place to crash. I can afford the train ticket but probably not a hotel on a weekend, unless someone else from out of town wants to share a room.

<3

Not sure what my sleeping situation will be, depends on the day we're meeting up or if I am going to make a weekend of it.

And I'll just put it out there: come visit Scotland during the week! I only have classes some days (except Thursdays every week) during the week, as they are seminars, but I now have to work every single weekend. And work placement is only a few hours a day, two days/week. We could "make it work."

OK, so I've thought about it again, and I've realised that I won't actually have the money to even get the train because I have to sort my leave to remain and won't have more money in my travel account until prices are too high. But everybody should totally go to Brighton VegFest in March!

I was looking at that and it would be a good time but not sure I'll be able to take more time off work. Or maybe I can.... who knows?
