Three questions to all you Shrove observers:
1) Which recipe did you use? 2) How many did you scoff? 3) Toppings or roll ups?

I forgot to put my answers - pancake brain!
1) Mum's recipe with soya milk and cornflour in place of eggs. 2) Four. And bigguns they were too. 3) Lemon juice and butterscotch golden syrup.

Snickerdoodle pancakes from Chocolate Covered Katie. I made 7 dainty ones. I do make spelt based pancakes most days though. I keep the nicer ones for the weekend.

1. The VB crepe recipe, without the sweet stuff. I made them a bit thicker, though, 'cause I was scared to ruin them. 2. Three. Two savoury and one sweet. 3. Cheezly and tomato for the savoury ones (there was not much food in the house, so I decided just to eat pancakes for dinner with what was laying around) and vanilla ice cream and chocolate ganache, left over from the birthday cake I made my nephew, for the sweet ones.

1 - We had two kinds. The FFVK recipe American style pancakes and a recipe I've been using for ages but have no idea where it came from (8oz white flour, 1oz soya flour, 1 oz caster sugar, 8 fl oz soya milk, 7 fl oz water) 2 - 3 1/2 of the first kind and 5 of the second. 3- Topped the first kind with maple syrup & Vitalite and rolled the second lot with sugar & lemon.

1) PPK Puffy Pillow Pancakes 2) 4 - 2 plain, 1 chocolate chip, 1 chocolate chip with Mardi Gras sprinkles 3) All topped with Vitalite and maple syrup
Pancake Day isn't a thing in the US. Most people observe Mardi Gras - I'd never heard of Pancake Day until I moved here. So I tried to tie in both, but the sprinkles were actually kinda naff.

i am just about to go eat mine!! we call it Shrove Tuesday though (US protestant thing; here in Brazil pancakes are often eaten with a meat filling, and nobody eats anything special before ash wednesday because we're all hung over from carnaval.)
1)the vegan brunch one 2)only time will judge, i'm not super hungry but i made a double batch 3)toppings will include cooked apples, peanut butter and molasses, and some runny marmelade.

Mr Ketchup was in charge because he's not a Pancake Day virgin like i am. 1) English pancakes from Another Dinner Is Possible 2) three (we ate some tofu & roast veg beforehand) 3) one with lemon juice & granulated sugar; one with caramelized apples, golden syrup, and soya cream; one with lemon juice & golden syrup. rachell37 wrote: Pancake Day isn't a thing in the US. I only had two pancakes!!! (if you put the peanut butter/molasses on the bottom and put the cooked apple on top it's like a caramel apple. nomnomnomnom!)

Aw baps :( Pancakes need no point. I'd have them every day for every meal if I cold get away with it.
1) We were hungry because we hadn't eaten all day, so we used Pancakes for Dinner from Chloe's Kitchen and veganised the BBC recipe for 'dessert' 2) 5 all in all!!!!!! 3) Berries and maple syrup on the American ones, and lemon and sugar on the European ones. Yums.

Mike or Isy? i don't use it as much as i should, but there really is a lot of good stuff in there. It's easily one of my favourites. Judged by the number of stains and stuck-together-pages there are. We used to live right by the Cowley and used to go their for dinner every Thursday night. I helped out a few times. Haven't been for ages!

Have to admit to having that book longer than I have known her but I haven't used it yet! Though I got excessively excited one day when I realised the person in the passenger seat of my car wrote one of the cookbooks on my shelves!

I had one pancake at Tibits restaurant, half with chocolate cream dessert and half with lemon juice (strangely they had no sugar though). It's a self serve buffet place where they weight your plate - it was only £2.40!

I can't believe I forgot about pancake day! Tonight will have to be my pancake day instead :)
My favourite recipe is 170g plain flour, 375ml plant milk and 1tsp vegetable oil blended together - it's so simple!
