Just a heads up, Ms Cupcake is only going to be there on the Sunday. This means I'm free to hang out on Saturday though!

Does anyone wish to 'car share' to Brighton from North London?

I intend to drive down to Brighton from London for one of the two days - I don't mind which, as long as I have at least 2 other people in the car or else I may take Southern Train service.

If at least 4 people book the train over a week in advance, 4 people can travel for £24 (£6 each) from Victoria Station London to Brighton and back - bargain!!

:-)

Is that an open return or specified trains only?

Does anyone need a bed for the 17th? Meggs can't make it and I've not heard back from ETK. I don't know if it's a single or a shared double, but it's £31.50 for the night. PM me if you're interested.

My friend Kelly Kemp is playing the entertainment stage, she used to be in No Comply many many years ago, and now sings with Livers and Lungs.

She's just fab and you should all make a concerted effort (or concentrated, if you're on your ownsome) to stop scoffing freebies for a few minutes and go check her out.

I think I'm going to try to come down for one of the days! Is there more of a meet-up on one day or the other? Since it would be great to see you guys!

We're coming on the Saturday - don't know if that will sway you either way, though!

Could someone coming from the continent pleaaasseee bring speculoos? A few of us would like some. I'd like two jars and I know Holylopez wants at least two as well... Obviously we'd pay you back!

I'm going to try, but weight could be an issue on the motorbike. I'll ask if fisticuffs is able to bring some?

Where or at what time are we going to meetup? (on saturday)

Me!

I'm not sure what time I'll get to Brighton yet, but am going to aim to be at vegfest between about 12 and 2. My sister is coming with me and we're gonna do some other stuff in the afternoon. Are there still plans for gin in a tin? Because if I'm totally honest, that's the real reason I'm going.

Sorry, I completely forgot about this until just now. And of course I am double booked.

Have fun though.

Shall we aim to meet outside for 12 or is that too early?

You guys, I've come down with whatever horrible bug is going around at the moment so I might not be able to make it. I'm going to rest and try to will myself back to health before this weekend though.

Too early for me. If I get the first train from Edinburgh (6.20 - ugh), I won't be in Brighton until nearly 1, depending on how long it takes to get from KGX to Victoria to Brighton. But if those of you who are only there for Saturday don't want to miss out on anything, I'm happy to find everyone once I get there.

ETA - Healing thoughts, zebedee! It's Monday, so hopefully you'll recover. I really want to meet you! BTW, there's a cat on the Lothian Cat Rescue site called Zebedee, and it makes me think of you.

how much is speculoos in Europe, generally? i'd been planning to bring some back from the US, but i'll take some off your hands if you have it!

I just googled Speculoos - that sounds amazing, genius. Does it taste like the biscuits? I just ate best half of a packet, so addictive.

it does. possibly even better, what with the extra fat & sugar. my partner has taken to heating it over the stove and drizzling it over strawberries. i just eat it straight out of the jar :P

The folks that are sharing a room with me - are you OK to check in at the end of the (festival) day Saturday before we meet up for dinner/hangouts with everyone else? I think check-in is 2pm, so we can't really check in first.
