I'm able to bring speculoos but I don't want to be lugging that + my luggage (hey, I'm a lady) around all saturday.
I got an e-mail from Eurostar there are extra security checks entering the UK so 'you have to consider a delay of 30 minutes if you're travelling further on in the UK'. So I'm not entirely sure which train we'll be able to take down to Brighton (also, I don't have tickets for that yet).
I have a very busy week and I'm stressed out I can't properly look into things! But I'm excited about seeing you all!

I wasn't really thinking about you having to lug 12 tonnes of speculoos from there to here... don't worry if it's a problem -- I can always order some from the interwebs!

Shall we meet for 2 then? That seems to give people more time to get there and what not. Plenty of us will already be around probably. PM me if you want to exchange digits (I've always wanted to say that)*.

2 sounds good to me. My sister bailed so I won't be as rushed as I thought.
Also, Veg_Eric is like Speculoos Santa.

Thanks Veg_E, I'll make sure that I bring a bag so I can take the Speculoos off your hands ASAP!
I'm super excited about meeting up with everyone & 2 sounds good to me.

You guys! I forgot to mention, if you want anything from Lupe Pintos (Hershey's syrup, liquid smoke, tinned tomatillos, etc.), let me know before 5pm Friday. As with V_E, you'll need to take it off my hands as soon as possible since I don't want to haul stuff around all day.

Just to say that I am staying in the Hilton (not as posh as it sounds- I got a good deal!) which is less than 10 minutes' walk from the Hove Centre, so if anyone buys stuff or wants to offload heavy stuff for the afternoon then it could go there when I check in at 1500.
I am mixing business with pleasure by trapping myself on a train for four and a half hours each way in the hope that I actually do some marking out of sheer boredom! Seriously can't wait- I'm going to see lots of fabulous people!

I have never not been able to buy to tickets for any train at the station on the day (like, within 10 mins of travelling) they just tend to be a bit more expensive. Which train station are you trying to buy tickets from?

What website are you using? I just searched London Kings Cross > Brighton, on http://www.southernrailway.com/ and there are tickets available for tomorrow.
