Apparently Marks and Spencer have a pricey box of chocolates that are vegan and very pretty. In the free-from section. Also, some of those wobbly Hallowe'en sweets that come in a plastic mold.....those are apparently also vegan.

the fizzy Halloween popcorn is also sfv!

And the fizzy blackcurrant and cola spider sweets!

This is awesome, I was planning on actually celebrating Hallowe'en this year so spooky sweeties are a must!

I went to the big Sainsburys and couldn't find the lasagne in the vegetarian ready meals section or the italian ready meals section, but when I walked out of the aisle I saw they had a whole end-cap of the Free From refridgerated stuff.

Same in my branch. When I was looking for the new cheeses I even asked someone from the cheese counter who hadn't heard of them (her grand daughter was dairy intolerant so I thought she'd be all over it - and it turned out to be on the end of an aisle right opposite her cheese counter but she hadn't noticed it!)

Someone on facebook said that all the free-from fridge (say that fast) sections will be "end of aisle" ones. Tescos are often the same, I find.

Kingsmill Toasties. They seem like a cross between a fruity bun and a pop tart. I got cinnamon-raisin and mixed berry flavours as those were the vegan ones in co-op (there was also a honey one), haven't tried them yet but I'll report back tomorrow.

Yeah, so it was disappointing. Mostly vanilla with really small bits of pecan. Wouldn't buy again.

That sucks. They're too expensive to not be wonderful.

They are, although luckily I found an individual tub so I didn't spend too much to find out.

I finally found Gary! I picked up the cream cheese, the wensleydale wih cranberries and the grated cheddar and they're all good! The wensleydale is probably my fave because it's the most interesting and I really like the shreds straight outa the bag but they were excellent on tacos. I try to avoid palm oil as much as poss so I'd buy the Sainsbury's cream cheese over Toffuti despite the fact that Toffuti is probably nicer. I was a little gutted to realise that the lasagne is full of things I'm allergic to but I'm excited that it exists!

In Tesco today I found Oatly creme fraiche (refrigerated), breaded vegan Quorn fillets and violife prosociano! The latter was only £3.50, much cheaper than everywhere else.

I have been waiting YEARS for more Oatly products to come over here. Of course they go to tesco though, mine does not stock many vegan things :(

I'm not sure I've ever had creme fraiche though, how would you use it?

On top of chilli, on baked potatoes, in creamy sauces and dips....it's a good sub for sour cream, and you can always add a squeeze of lemon if you need to.

Yes! I picked up the rolos at VegFest & they are so good. My pack lasted about 10 minutes!

My Tesco, which isn't huge, now has a 3-part fridge section of mostly vegan free from stuff. I was looking for cheese and was sad they no longer had it, then turned around and saw the fridge stuff. In addition to the stuff mentioned above and all the cheeses they already had, they also have some new Alpro desserts - hazelnut chocolate, almond vanilla, and coconut (in the fridge section) - as well as loads of Coconut Collaborative (?) stuff like yogurts and chocolate pots, a few other Oatly products (vanilla custard and single cream along with the creme fraiche), and an even wider range of plant milks.

Oh, and they have the Alpro ice creams 3/£5 (normally £3.50 each). I had to put those in my grocery order because they aren't at my local.

My Tesco doesn't have any of the new products but we drove to the nearest big Tesco Extra and found them. They've also got that super-thick alpro "go-on" yoghurt in a big tub, and miniature alpro plain yoghurt tubs which I haven't seen before. I found the ice cream too although only vanilla and coconut flavours.

I can't recall if anyone has mentioned Mouses Favourite camembert style cheese - it is amazing to me though I haven't had the real thing for 25 years. (I gave a piece to a camembert fan and they identified it as camembert so it is very good.) I tried it a few weeks ago and am really craving it again. I've only seen it in Green Bay in London, definitely not stocked by Wholefoods or Hisbe or Infinity in Brighton at the moment because I've looked.

Tesco are now selling "Fondant Truffles" in the free from section which I think are repackaged choices caramels. Only £2 a box so not bad.
