Sainsbury's now do vegan sausages in their frozen Meat Free (or Love Soya?) range. They are very similar to Linda McCartney ones in texture and flavour. I think they're better than her bog standard ones, but not as good as the orgasmic red onion ones.

They were part of the 2 for £3 deal.

I like the new Asda Linda Mc fresh sausages the best from her range. They're greasier and somehow don't repeat on me like the others.

according to their twitter feed, from november 1st those "v-pud" vegetarian black puddings are now dairy and egg free too... i'm kind of intrigued and a bit apprehensive about this!

Tried a Porkless Pie from Holland and Barrett this afternoon, never seen them in there before, wasn't even gonna go in. So glad I did, they'd just had a big stock up of all their chillers.

Porkless Pie by veg.out was AMAZING. Foodgasm right there.

cidersmurfette bought me one of them from 8th day last weekend.
i'm yet to try it though; not really even sure what to do with it! i'll probably just do a huge brekkie and slice/fry it up in with that...

That sounds like the perfect thing to do with it.

I tried the gammon roast at the veg fair on sunday and wasn't a fan. Everyone else seemed to dig it though.

I bought some salmon slices but haven't tried them yet, I'm a bit scared of them. I'm also waiting til I have remember to buy bagels.

In other news, nowhere seems to be selling the fish steaks anymore, at least around here anyway! :(

I want to try a porkless pie! I bet our H&B doesn't stick them though: nothing but honey drenched dried banana and body-builder shakes :(

we had one for dinner today, with roast spuds, roast purple carrots, mashed swede, steamed broccoli and gravy.
i thought it was good. but i've never eaten actual gammon in my life so no idea how close to that it is.
i'd eat it again though...

I tried a v-pud earlier this week. The texture was not great and I couldn't slice it (so smushy!) so I crumbled it into a pan and fried it up as 'sausagey croutons' to put on a warm potato/kale salad. It tasted ok, but I don't think I'll buy it again.

The H&B's I've been don't seem to have the salmon slices anywhere :(
So sad... they are my favourite too.

OMG I just tried these & they're AMAZING! I love them, I've been craving my traditional Christmas day morning open faced smoked salmon sandwich on wholewheat bread wih salt, pepper, & lemon juice for over 10 years! So excited!

Soya protein, oil, thickeners (carrageenan, konjac flour, potato starch), salt, sugar, onion powder, annato.

oh! they are faux meat! for some reason i was imaging them to be some sort of marinated vegetable.
I wish they had something like that here. I totally miss bagels and lox!

The texture is very similar to what I remember smoked salmon being like but with a fake fishy flavour. I think that's why I don't like them. The texture made me gag a little!

If ya didn't like the texture of real smoked salmon I can totally understand why you don't like these!

Hi everyone, I'm new to this forum *waves*

Sainsburys have got some nice new soups out. They don't say vegan on them but there doesn't appear to be anything nasty in the ingredients.
The Tarka Dhal one is AMAZING! Best tinned soup I've tasted. The Morrocan chickpea one and Mexican bean one are also very tasty. :)
