I just saw vegan Double Stuff Oreos at Tesco! And they're on offer - only 1p more than regular Oreos (which may also be on offer, but I wasn't paying attention). Woot! I almost bought some, but then I remembered I have 2 packets of biscuits in my drawer already.

I got a Go Max Go Thumbs Up bar over the weekend at Vegfest. What is this thing in my mouth? Like chocolate covered crunchy honeycomby peanutbuttery sugar? What is it supposed to replicate? It's odd, but good. Super sweet!

Yes, my American friend says it is Butterfingers, a US chocolate bar. She said it was pretty good taste-wise but she found it strange as the original bar is more the shape of Twix and these are tubes! I tried it from Veganstore when they first got it and I liked it.

Veganic Cheese (I posted here: viewtopic.php?f=18&t=26168) I'm doing an experimental macaroni cheese as I type... I think it's the best cheese I've tried- definitely very mild and on the crappy white cheese spectrum but would work for sandwiches, pizza, toasties etc. I think it would fool an omni, but they'd think you'd bought the value ready grated stuff. Not that that's necessarily a bad thing!

The macaroni cheese was good, somewhat eerily dairy-y

I found vegan oreos today! Big display in the supermarket for some promotion or other. The regular kind were vegan - no luck on the chocolate or double stuff yet. Got two boxes of the two cookie packs, in the vain hope that I'll eek them out and not just hork the lot.

I managed to find the chocolate ones last week so now I have had all 3. I'm a happy girl. Roll on Friday when I can buy some more.

Just went into my local Waitrose and what do you know? Vegan Oreos, simultaneously both the best and worst news I have had in ages!
Mat.

this is what the new Go Max Go bar is supposed to emulate: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Butterfinger

I found vegan mini Oreos today. I managed to only eat one small pack out the box. It may be the answer to my Oreo overeating ways.

I tried another Thumbs Up bar yesterday but didn't like it as much as the first time- it's definitely one to crunch whereas I usually prefer melty sucky chocolate bars. Think I'll stick to Buccaneers.

Has anyone tried the Go Max Go PB cups? Hubs is lusting after them and it's nearly his birthday, but they're a little spendy. Don't want to mail order a bunch (to justify postage...yeah...that's it...) and find that they're dry in the middle or the chocolate sucks.

Ok, think I managed to get a batch of the mini oreos that must have been the first batch after the line handled milk because I have inflammed ears, sore throat, itchy eyes, runny nose, sneezing and wheezing this evening.

Hope you feel better soon Daisychain. I don't know your situation but I've heard people talk about not being able to tolerate dairy once they've given it up. I haven't had dairy (knowing at least) for many years and accidentally ate some dairy ice cream last week (my local shop made a mistake with one of my take away sorbet tubs and I had a few spoons of it before I realised). I'm glad to say I had no ill effects though GaietyGirl wrote: Has anyone tried the Go Max Go PB cups? Hubs is lusting after them and it's nearly his birthday, but they're a little spendy. I really like them but I've never had the real thing so don't know how they compare. If anything I find the middle a bit gooey, it's certainly not dry.

I'm fairly lactose intolerant. Turns out it wasn't a dodgy batch, I was coming down with a head cold. I'm full blown yuk now.
On the plus side.... those mini oreos were delicious.

Glad it wasn't the Oreos but sorry to hear you're not well.
I was relieved to find out my sorbet was sorbet after all, not ice cream - they just changed the recipe a bit since the last batch.

I wish those Choices White Chocolate easter eggs were available year round, maybe in bar form or something, because that was the nicest vegan white chocolate I've had I think!

Yeah...most white chocolate I've had (eg the Organica bar) is really waxy...this not so much! Going to go on a discounted egg hunt I think! The little packs of white chocolate buttons you can get from Tesco are kind of similar I find.
