Chickpea - regarding the biscuit spread, its great stirred into porridge. I also once used it to replace the peanut butter in the peanut butter blondies in VWAV. They were crunchy and chewy (and a bit oily) but tasted divine

Thanks Star, it didn't last long enough to do anything except spoon it out of the jar! I did make peanut blondes for the first time yesterday and I could see how it could work. Porridge sounds good too.
After reading this thread I went to H&B and bought 4 new lip balms. I'd never seen them before. I love the mocha the most I think.

I have only tried Mocha so far but I love it. I keep putting it on, wiping it off then reapplying it

Saw in H&B that VBites are now doing maple flavoured bacon rashers.

I'm so sorry, but I nearly died laughing when I read this. "Ficken" in German means something very rude indeed :D

I translated out of curiosity... Oh dear, haha!
With English you also have "F*ck" as an abbreviation for mock duck :).

I just translated it as well, I'm glad you could see the funny side and I hope it didn't offend anyone. I will stick to calling it chikn in future!

Found sour cream and chive quinoa chips at the wholefood co-op today, and they're available online at a few sites too, e.g. - http://www.vegantuckbox.co.uk/product/s ... noa-chips/

A bit pricey but very yummy!

Not exactly groundbreaking but Iceland have packs of 4 spicy bean burgers and vegetable burgers for £1 a box which appear to be vegan. Useful to have in the freezer I guess for when you don't want to cook.

(I've never been to Iceland before so not sure if this is new, but I used the search function and no one has posted about it before)

What?! How did I miss this? Have you tried them, are they any good?

Hopefully this will cure my yearning for the accidentally vegan maple bacon popcorn Marks & Spencer did at Christmas.

^ No way, that popcorn was awesome! But then I do love wasabi popcorn too, so my opinion is probably wrong, haha.

I was perusing the Tesco website trying, not entirely successfully, to look up their new products but I did spot that Linda Mac has a new spinach and mushroom burger and according to the Tesco nutritional info, it's vegan friendly.

I also spotted a frozen party pack in Asda, I didn't fully inspect the ingredients, but it looked vegan - though I'm willing to be corrected on that. I think there were thai curry bites and 2 other things that I can't remember for the life of me.

Also, own brand frozen soy mince is back in Asda and Morrisons!

I'm quite excited to try them. I don't have burgers that often but I am getting a bit sick of bean burgers, so it will make a nice change.

Might be old news but I just bought lemon sorbet from Sainsbury's, and OMG it's delicious. They had a mango one and a raspberry one as well.

The vegan symbol is very prominently displayed on the front ... which is GOOD

hurrah I thought, snacks for morning coffee at work ... I did of course have to taste test one ... they are lovely ...

they are wheat and gluten free ...

So there is a Lidl near-ish me after all and today they had lots of stuff new from last time, including jars of black olive paste - just smushed up olives in olive oil with herbs, marked vegan. Not new, but I also love their gherkins and bought a massive jar of them, plus two smaller ones.

The new Alpro Coconut Milk is lovely. Also not sure if this has already been posted but Lidl have a potato salad labelled Vegan:

Oh cool, maybe I will try these now then. I noticed them awhile back and thought they looked good, but they seemed kinda expensive.

Nature's Path Organic Gluten-Free MAPLE Sunrise cereal ... CAPS for the maple as that is what jumped out to my Canadian eye when walking past it at Waitrose ... it is delicious. I have bought the standard Sunrise cereal for ages but this is so much nicer ...
