I thought this thread might be useful as I'm struggling to find out what summer drinks are vegan or can be veganised in the UK coffee shop chains like Costa, Caffe Nero and in Starbucks.

So far I know Caffe Nero have two vegan wraps (a falafel one and a bean one) but the only summer drink I have managed from there was a soya milk, chocolate and coconut concoction which I think was just milk flavoured with syrups.

In Starbucks as far as I can see the Mocha Frap is vegan if you have soya milk - nice to have a thick drink without much modification! Nothing vegan to eat though as far as I can see.

In Costa I have found nothing savoury to eat but they have a pre wrapped (& g/f) fruit crumble bar. Aside from iced coffee I haven't managed to get a cold summer drink here, although I believe one or two of the fruity ones might be suitable.

Please share what you have discovered!

Starbucks used to do a vegan wrap and salad i think but I haven't seen them in a while. Gonna keep my eye on this thread though because it will be useful to have a list of things I can eat or drink at hand.

Costa's fruit coolers are all, I believe, vegan. I have the berry one and it's nice enough.

Starbucks used to do a hot falafel/tomato panini and it was super. Sad times.

The allergen info is the best to go for.

Starbucks: Drinks and food (classic hot chocolate is vegan with soya milk and no cream YASSSS)

Costa: All drinks and food

Caffe Nero: Hot drinks, iced drinks (and others available as menus on these pages)

Forgot to mention the Gianduja (in jars or cups at the till) at Caffe Nero are vegan although they 'may contain traces'. And I think there is a falafel salad at Starbucks but it was very annoying to see the recently introduced avocado and bean wrap contained dairy.

That Starbucks list is much better than what they have in store because it has that last column advising on how to adapt a drink. (To order my first summer frap this year I had to work it out by ploughing through each ingredient column and find out from staff what components made up each drink.)
The Caffe Nero list also has explanations of what can and cannot be made vegan. I've had a barista cobble together a chocolate and coconut iced drink with soya milk but I'll be asking for the frappe latte next time.

Thanks for the lists. The Starbucks one goes a bit out of whack on the second page with the ticks and vegan commentary - does anyone know which fraps are actually vegan? I like Starbucks because I can have the coconut milk (Soy milk doesn't like me)

As I said in the top post the mocha frappe is vegan if you swap the milk. I like that one so haven't looked up any more!

After a great deal of research by me and a friend, we were able to confirm that the Starbucks mocha cookie crumble is vegan with non-dairy milk and no whip. The chocolate chips and crumble are both sfv but "may contain traces".

I'm pretty sure that all the Frappuccino bases are vegan - certainly the coffee and creme ones but I'm not 100% sure about the light. The chocolate ones use the same syrup as the regular mocha/hot chocolate, which is sfv. All of the add-in syrups (the pump ones on the side) are vegan, but most of the toppings aren't. So for instance, if you want a caramel frap, ask for no drizzle. Otherwise I think they can all be made vegan if you switch out the milk, except the strawberries and cream (I assume - I don't like strawberries so I've never checked).
