I'm not sure if I can get used to that... Should I start a thread called 'the lady who some people like and some people didn't like on CDWM'? Anyway, I checked out her menu on the C4 website - looks like she got most of it from VeganYumYum! I like VeganYumYum, although I haven't bought the book, I've made a few things off of the blog.

You could start a CDWM thread which we can keep coming back to when there are vegans on there!

If anyone's interested, Boots have Naked shampoos and conditioners on buy one get one free - most of the range is vegan and they don't have any horrid chemicals in. Stock up between now and 28/12.

Good grief chaps - leave this thread alone! Isa's given us our whole own forum in the Square now, so we're to stop using this thread - and you know how much I crave the approval of my substitute authority figures!

But this thread is in the new forum!

We can't just ABANDON it! It's become a part of me.

Just in for a quick rant about arsehats who think it's appropriate to blare music, scream out their windows, and sing showtunes (badly) at 1am in a huge block of flats.

More annoying is the fact that nothing can be done about it. Even if everyone who lives here rings to complain, nothing will ever be done on the night and you don't get to remain anonymous if anything is to ever be done at all. Seriously, what happened to police coming 'round and telling people to pack it in? Is this a by-product of the bureaucratic anti-social behaviour laws?

Hi, I'm relatively new to this site (and to Veganism, although have been thinking about it for a long time).

Is there anyone else in the NW area? Am based in Liverpool and work in Manchester, so any recommendations for places to eat will be good!

On the subject of Come Dine With Me. I've been watching this old episode from a week in Liverpool which features a Vegan who runs a group called Scouse Veg. Am trying to pluck up the courage to go to one of their get togethers! Here is the episode incase you are interested, she seems to succesfuly convert one of the guests (or at least make him think long and hard about his use of dairy).

Oh, I didn't see this before! Thank you! The Tesco near me started to supply it then stopped. I'm suspicious because it was always 1/2 or completely sold out so it was popular enough. I wonder if pure complains about poor sales anywhere vitalite is stocked. There are 3 different flavours of pure but they can't stock vitalite, strange. I'll try iceland the next time I'm passing, I can get it in MACRO wholesalers but have to wipe the tubs down as they are covered in a film of dust!

Do it! I went to a PPK picnic not knowing anyone at all, not even on the board (I registered purely to invite myself along), and I haven't regretted it once!

I dunno, I once went to a PPK meetup and it didn't go so well. They just don't understand my megavegetarianism!

Same here, I was really nervous but it was worth it. I met some really 'special' people.
