why are all these vegan things disappearing all of a sudden

reading about the Walkers debacle put me in a mood for meat-flavoured crisps, so i went through half a tube of smokey bacon Pringles. it just wasn't the same. plus now i have an MSG headrush.

I just bought some last week and have never had a problem finding them (in larger stores). They better not discontinue them!

The Co-op does "Truly Irresistible" Stem Ginger cookies which are vegan! (apart from the usual "may contain traces..." allergy warning). And they're veeery good.

I just re-read the article and it sounds like it's just the chicken and bacon ones for now. I'll be keeping my eye on the prawn cocktail and worcester sauce ones though!

I think the chicken ones had milk in but I thought the bacon ones were vegan. But I honestly don't know because I haven't eaten them in years because they're rank!

i know - those two are the best! (although i wouldn't mind if they took the artificial sweetener out of the prawn cocktail flavour)

I found the love soya sausages in sainsburys today and they were on offer!! So, yay!

I have an awful feeling they have as it seems a few of us haven't been able to get them from our usual stores. Let us know if you find any.

My local (big) Morrisons re-organised their biscuit aisle a while ago and I couldn't find the chocolate or chocolate orange cookies anywhere. They still had the oats/dried fruit cookies which seemed to be in the same range, but those are not comparable. And they had smaller chocolate cookies which I thought might be the vegan ones re-sized, but they had milk in.

Another one bites the dust..... Baxters have put cheese in their minestrone soup. CHEESE!!! I used to eat that for lunch quite regularly when too lazy to make my own soup.

I was just about to put it in the microwave this morning when my dad told me about the cheese. forking cheese. I'm unimpressed.

In my Sainsburys it was by the peanut butter and chocolate spreads bit, on the eye level shelf, unlike Waitrose who seemed to put in right at the bottom out of site.

I found lotus spread here - smooth and crunchy - in a fancy deli/food hall place. It's nearly €7 a jar! So near, and yet so far!
