What is WHITE?

RE: NESCAFE commercials. The powder is said to contain WHITE, COFFEE, and SUGAR. Now in normal circumstances, I could assume that they mean white coffee and/or white sugar. But the product is called THREE IN ONE. So 'white' is a thing! Also there is a definite pause after 'white' in the commercial. Someone help!

My boyfriend pointed this out yesterday - they used to say "milk", but dubbed it over again!

I assume it's white paint. Or White Lightning, the "cider". Hair of the dog, and all that. Or snowflakes on a cold November mourning.

At my work we had coffee whitener for the coffee machine, which was later on replaced by coffee creamer.
Difference if I remember it correctly: the whitener was mostly casein and stuff, but the creamer had as subtitle "milk product" and did list milkpowder as one of the ingredients.

Based on that I think whitener is a product that acts as coffee creamer but probably can not be named as creamer because of legislation or lack of real cream?
