Just got an email to say that the next vegan night at the Bread Street Brasserie will be on Thursday 17 October. Not sure what the menu will be yet, but I'll definitely be going if I can!

Just rang and found out tonight is fully booked! That's great news for veganism in Edinburgh obviously, but I was really looking forward to going :(

Thanks! I'm definitely going to try and make it even if it's just me in the corner with a book and piles of delicious vegan food!

I was disappointed last time (had to leave most of my main) but the staff were really apologetic and nice.

Oh no, what was wrong with it? Every time I've been I've had a great meal, but I had to be elsewhere for the January one.

Too much pepper - it was burning my mouth. Which was a shame as the mustard crumb crust (it was mac and cheese) seemed like a really good idea. There didn't seem too be much sauce either which might have counteracted the pepper. Anyway, not my night. They did give me a money off card so if anyone is planning on going to the next one I'll happily pass it along.
