I've come down seriously under the weather this week with a sore throat, running nose and headache. Unfortunately taking time off to rest and recover is not an option right now due to various work commitments, so can anyone point me to a list of vegan paracetemol and/or ibuprofen in the UK please? All the ones I've had before have had some kind of animal product in them.

I believe their paracetamol is too as well as both the ibuprofen & paracetamol from the co-op.

I can't find a copy of the Sainsbury's Ibuprofen patient information leaflet online, but the Co-op Ibuprofen and Paracetamol has stearic acid and stearates in it which can often come from animal sources ( http://www.co-operativepharmacy.co.uk/A ... 633065.pdf and http://www.co-operativepharmacy.co.uk/A ... 976236.pdf). Does anyone know how to find out for sure if these come from animal sources or not?

The only one I've bought recently & have the leaflet for is the Sainsburys ibuprofen & there's definitely no stearic acid in there. Honestly though from what I've read the stearic acid used in pharmecuticals is very unlikely to be animal derived and if it was in a medicine I'd probably take it, unlike if there was gelatine/ lactose*.
*obviously not judging anyone who has to take a medication with these ingredients in, I just mean that for me there's never been a situation where there's no alternative.
