Has anyone ever ordered any of the frozen mock meats and fish from there? http://www.veggie-world.com/OnlineShop The website is pretty bad, it took me a while to realise you have to scroll down and then browse through loads of pages. It's all a bit scary looking but I'm tempted to try some, just out of a strange sense of curiosity. I just got Betty Goes Vegan and was looking if anywhere here sold vegan shrimp and found the website.

I haven't used the website, but the vegetarian shrimp paste sounds intriguing.
You can get mock prawn (and whole mock lobsters, among other delights) at W.H. Lung on Upper Brooke Street in Manchester.

I'm intrigued by the shrimp paste as well. I always bring back bulk vegan belacan from Thailand and wonder if it's anything similar (i.e. fabulous). I've been curious about ordering from this place for years.

I'm not sure where you are, but I recently got Vegan shrimp from a shop in Chinatown

I've ordered food from there before, and coincidentally actually on the website considering doing it again! From what I remember, the delivery wasn't cheap, but I really enjoyed the food. I freaking loved the prawns. Honestly the texture and taste was incredible. It didn't taste "seaweedy" or artificial. It tasted like seafood. The crab-sticks tasted this way as well. I was super impressed and definitely will buy again, but get more. I also got some 'chicken' pieces, and yin pin balls or something, I really wanted to like the chicken, but for me it had a weird rubbery aftertaste which I couldn't get past, the texture was good though. The yin pin balls also had this taste, but I was able to get past it and I enjoyed them strangely. I also had the fish steaks and salmon, both of which I loved. The texture wasn't fishy, but it was very enjoyable, and tasted lovely. Even my dad who's omni liked the taste of the salmon.
Oh!! I also got the chicken drumsticks.. they were awesome, the texture was great, the taste was slightly sweet and chickeny, and the "bone" is made out of bamboo shoot I think, I don't think you are meant to eat that part but I did anyway. And I'll probably buy those again too.
I'd recommend them, and I'm gonna buy some more stuff off them again.

We've a freezer full of their stuff. I've not tried mail order from them, but we stock up each time we visit their restaurant. Their chicken pieces are far superior to those we've bought from chinese supermarkets (inc Wing Yip).
