We are probably going there on our marathon UK/Ireland honeymoon in April. Will I be able to eat? What should we do?

This is the only place I could find on Happycow: http://www.happycow.net/reviews.php?id=26121

However, the UK is generally very vegan friendly and supermarkets will stock vegan food. Also, you can always ask places if they'll do something vegan for you, especially if you know where you're planning to go in advance.

Thanks! I'm not super worried about food because I am well versed in making do with few options, but I just know nothing about the Isle of Man (and we know lots about England/Scotland/Ireland) so I just wondered if there were any remarkable things to do/see/eat there. :)

See the Manx cats! They have no tails (they're born without them). See: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Manx_%28cat%29

Beyond that I actually know very little about the Isle of Man.

We had a family holiday there when I was little. I absolutely loved it then. My Mum and Dad had been there before I was born and I was obsessed by a photo of them there i had with my Mum with hair longer than her skirt. I remember me and me sister thinking it must have been their honeymoon and how shocked we were to find it was before they were married because we didnt think unmarried people could go on holiday together. We went around the island on buses and trams. We stayed in Douglas and had day trips all over the place. Peel Castle, Ramsey, Castletown, Laxey Wheel, on a train up Snaefel, different glens. I can distinctly remember being on a steam train somewhere thinking I would never be happier than that day. I must ask my Mum how old I was. I would guess at maybe 8. Just last week i opened a bottle of calamine and the smell took me exactly back to being in our hotel and my Mum putting on my Dads back because he'd burnt it in the sun. That was a really helpful response.

So I texted my Mum and she thinks I had just turned 8. So I gave you information about what to do on your honeymoon from the eye of an 8 year old, 33 years ago. Pretty sure I should give up my day job and go and work for Fodor's.

That's actually extremely helpful, because I am about 8 at heart, and Jay is too!

Can I come work for Fodor's with you?

Do you also have a machine that will take you back in time 33 years?

The only remarkable things I know to see or do on the Isle of Man are:

(and why I'm on the waiting list for a vacation there for the end of may 2013)

The Isle of Man TT and "Mad Sunday" ;)
