Just came back from claridges and had the ultimate vegan afternoon tea...it was amazing. They even gave me a ton of jam when I left. I am spoilt forever. No afternoon tea will ever compare !

I may possibly be starting to obsessively check this thread. Slightly.

Well yes it was all a bit Jeeves and Wooster. We had asparagus and hummus, portobello mushrooms, tomato and basil...to mention a few. Scones with marco polo jelly, blackberries surrounded by think deep choc tower, raspberry choc cake, ginger and carrot....endless refills. The tea...oh my god 40 different types, I had claridges blend, they had everything. You are not even allowed to pour your own tea! And when we left, because they couldn't give us the usual chocs, they gave us a huge bag of different jams. They had a pianist playing it was what I think heaven will be like....

I'm hoping to get over to London again in the not too distant future, and one of the top things on my to do list is proper afternoon tea. Looks like I'll be calling Claridges! That spread sounds amaaaazing.

Sounds amazing. Did you tell them in advance you were vegan?

I've always fancied afternoon tea but didn't want to get black tea and a fruit plate!

Maybe we should do a Claridges meet up! (And bring our own chocolates.)

if I ever have any spare money again I'd be up for that! Might see what's in this months paypacket and come back to this idea.
