Can anyone recommend an easily available scented candle? They're not something I buy, are they mostly beeswax these days, are vegan ones specialist or readily available? Thanks.

I see these guys down at the market and their candles smell pretty good.

Those look pretty cool, but it strikes me as kinda funny that they advertise it smelling like "the real thing" and the first candle you see is "black pepper". All I can imagine is lighting it and causing a sneezing fest.

Black pepper would really appeal to me but I was hoping to find something I can buy on the high street or in a supermarket if anyone knows of anything. I'll go online if not. (We have a smelly cat issue)

I'm sure I saw someone I follow on Instagram who works for the vegan society posting a picture of a Yankee Candle the other day. I would think they'd have checked they were a-ok.

Try Oxfam or a fair trade shop. Most of the scented candles I see in places like that seem to be soy wax.
