Has anyone tried this?

£22 a month for a box of vegan treats ...

http://www.vegantuckbox.co.uk/

I may get a single to try ... I hesitate as I do not generally eat many
ready made packaged treat items ... I was thinking I could keep it at
work ... but then I would likely unnecessarily eat all of it ...

Anne who weighed herself this morning (due to jeans feeling slightly tight)
to find she had gain half a stone ...

I've never ordered one, but I've been in touch of one of the two vegans who run the company before by email and they seemed very nice, genuine and friendly.

I'm just afraid I'd get a box full of raw stuff and/or things full of nuts*. And since there doesn't seem to be a way of indicating preferences/allergies, it's not really worth £22 for me.

*I'm allergic to most nuts and most things that make up raw stuff. Also, raw chocolate tastes like dirt and sadness.

Have you tried Conscious chocolate? My mother bought it for me once in a fit of "you must have pudding and this is the only vegan sweet thing I could think of!" and I thought it was really nice.

Fat Gay Vegan blogged/tweeted a sample box, didn't seem raw but there were nutty things.

i second this! Conscious is really good, especially their mint flavour. Ombar is pretty nice, too.

I've actually signed up for this one http://www.thevegankind.com/ to see how it is.

Yes please! I'm hoping to get one soon, so I'd appreciate a run-down of the next box contents :)

I had my Vegan Kind one. It had in it:

A full size packet of Vegg
A full size box of Clearspring miso bouillon sachets
A travel deodorant
A sample size bag of soapnuts
A sample bag of Goody Good Stuff sweets
A sample pack of tea
A badge
A recipe card
Codes for discount purchase of all the above

I liked it a lot because there's a decent variety. I wouldn't want lots and lots of sweets.
It's £12.95 including p+p. I liked the surprise of opening it, so I'm going to keep going with it, for now anyway.

It arrived today and had the following (7 are products/flavours I haven't tried before)
Vantastic Foods Nougat Bar
Torino Mousse Bar
Wheaty Space Bar
Clif Chocolate Almond Fudge Bar
Nakd Rhubarb & Custard Bar
Peppersmith Mints
Coconut Rose Bakery Treacle Toffee
Inspiral Kale Chips (30g)
Just Wholefoods Cola Koalas
Vantastic Foods Cappuccino White Chocolate
Goober Raisins

I didn't a snoop around the internet, there is about £18 worth of stuff, but if you factor what the shipping would be from shops like Vegan Store & Vegan Cross, it turns out to be quite good value.

Thank you for sharing :) It sounds like these are worth trying just for the thrill of getting a goody box delivered, even if the pricing weren't great.

I love The Vegan Kind box this month. There's cinder toffee, kale chips, a full size Sweet Freedom Choc Shot, a full size Organic Surge shower gel and some raw strawberry bar thing. I love how it contains savoury and none food things too.

That's a good point about the savoury items, Vegan Tuck Box have said after this month they will be doing a mix of savoury and sweet

I get a vtb delivered to work. I tweet about them fairly regularly and last month they popped a little extra treat in for my loyalty, which was cute.

I like the variety and some real surprises (cheese and onion crisps! Fruitbroo, porridge, miso), but I wish they'd resend some of the absolute winners like the Vego bar.

A while ago they asked for ideas on how to improve their service, my suggestion was to have an option on their webshop to purchase products and have them added to your next monthly box (the obvious benefit being it would save on delivery charges) and they have implemented it! If you want a Vego bar, you can purchase one and it will come as part of your next box!

Does it come in the box? It's never clear if there's extra postage/packaging but I'd definitely add things to the box.

You can buy things and have them sent out which you pay P&P for or you can have them added your next box with no additional delivery charge
