I know its a long shot but has anyone been to Morcambe in Lancashire? Or Lytham St Annes?
Any recommendations of what to do and see?
And where to eat?

In Morecambe you should see the statue of Eric Morecambe and the beautiful art deco hotel on the seafront. Besides that I'm not sure if it really has any other tourist attractions since the theme park shut down. I was there in May but didn't get to see the town at all.

I e been to both but there's very little to see, do or eat in either that I know of. You can have the obligatory photo taken dancing like Eric Morecambe and yes, the sea front and Art Deco hotel are a nice stroll. I think I've only ever eaten chips and mushy peas there.
