I think your B and M shop gets much more interesting things than mine does, I took a trip over but they had nothing good (although I guess someone could have just swiped them all already!).

On the plus side I did pick up a box (that's 60 22g bags!) of Salt and Vinegar Square crisps for £1 at a local bargain shop. I know this is a long shot, but if anyone is passing near Leicester get yourself to Queens Road, and the shop next to the Costa is selling loads of cases of Walkers Crisps off for a quid, some of them even in date! :) (the Squares are a couple of months past best before but they're still absolutely fine).

I found the PB in my B&M so its definitely a nationwide thing! And I promptly made the cookies :D

Ah, good to know. Maybe I'll give the St George's retail park branch another look-see or look out for another branch on my travels then!

Isn't there one where Sainsburys used to be on Melton Road? That used to be fairly good sized I think.

There is still one at Belgrave but it's a 'homes' store rather than a 'bargains' one. I don't know what the difference is, so I suppose that might be worth a squizz but it's not such easy walking distance.

Poundland (at least in Edinburgh) has a three-pack of Fry's chocolate cream bars for £1. As the single bars have gone up to about 85p each in most places, this pretty good.

Poundland also have cones of orange jelly beans (packaged to look like a carrot; for Easter I presume) which look accidentally vegan.

All the Jamie Oliver packets of ready cooked grains and beans are reduced to £1.50 from £2.30 in Sainsbury's. You can eat them cold or heat in a microwave. I haven't tried
them yet but I picked up a few to have at work for days when I forget to bring anything. I think all of them are vegan.

I don't know if its regional, but the tesco metro near me is selling loads of its "Ingredients" stuff off for half price, they've got some spices, stuff like rice wine vinegar, shaoxing rice wine and mirin and loads of pastes, dried mushrooms, dried chillis, red rice and the such.

Seeds (for growing, not for eating) at Wilkinson's are all either 50p or £1.
