Saw this news on FB last night. Zizzi are launching their vegan mozzarella sometime in March. I got the impression it was home made but haven't really seen any details yet. We don't have a Zizzi here but there are enough of them about that this sounds like great news.

It sounds interesting! I wonder if it will be in all stores or just the usual "select few".

I was literally just coming here to share this news. Hoping it's across all restaurants. We have one in Oxford, so I'm going to email them to check.

I emailed them to say it was great that they're the first bigger chain to offer vegan cheese and that.

They said it will be in all of their restaurants when they roll out their new menu on the 15th. And the cheese they use will be Mozzarisella, which I have tried and liked.

They also said they've had loads of positive comments about it and to look out for more vegan options coming soon.

Oh that's awesome, I made pizza with the mozzarisella recently and it works really well. I'm glad places here are becoming more receptive to veganism!

That's such great news and I'm glad it's that brand. Everyone seems to be hot on Violife (which I like but too much melted just sticks to your teeth).

Their new menu is up, the second page of their allergen menu is a "vegan menu" and it includes pizza, pasta, and a few options for dessert.

I went on Saturday (pics will be on the blog later today hopefully).

It was good! When it's melted, it's more like a white sauce than cheese and it's not stretchy like mozarella. But it was a very nice pizza!

They have dessert too, but I was too full.

I agree, it's really good. I had the basic vegan pizza and added caramelised onions, mushrooms and olives and it's the best pizza I've had in a while. I was also too full for dessert but love that there are several options. Only slight negative, didn't think the vegan garlic bread starter was very good so wouldn't bother with that again.

I thought it was super. The base was really good too. And you can usually find a voucher pretty easy if you have a google :)

I went back last night and can confirm it's just as good the second time ;-) And I had a 25% discount voucher.
