What ready made party food have you seen in the UK shops that's vegan?
M&S boxes of different kinds of mini-spring rolls were a cut above the usual, and gone in a flash.

I'm excited by all the Redwoods party foods. Mini sausages, pepperjack cheese bites, a 3 cheezly selection box, tiiiiny falafel...
Has anyone found vegan candy canes? (not in Tesco / Asda please) Sainsbury's have been sold out for two weeks now & I want to make candy cane cupcakes!

Yay! I have pounland candy canes!
Waitrose have vegan after eight style mints, mint crunch chocolate (kinda like a flat version of a matchmaker) & peppermint creams.

the redwoods mini sausages are lush and so are the pepperjack style bites.
Co-Op have orange thins and mint thins.

I am saddened to admit I didn't like the pepperjack bites that much. It's got that vegan cheese taste that I don't like [I can't even pinpoint exactly what the flavour or ingredient is, but it's always in shop brought vegan cheeses, but never my home made cheesey stuff [thank god for Isa once again]]. I think if I had smothered them in something else, I might have enjoyed them more. Oh and don't leave these in the oven [if you choose to ignore the microwave/fry only guidelines like me], I burnt the shiitake out of my first pack & it turns out they melt. Then go black. [which oddly, now I think about it, the non-black bits actually tasted nicer than the ones I cooked properly. Hmmm. Now I don't know what to think.]
HOWEVER, I OMGLOVED THE KOFTA BITES. It reminded me so much of kebabs. I am definitely buying them again and can't wait to recreate a kebab like the ones of my chubby lil childhood.

We're having a party and I'm getting Stella McCartney sausage rolls in. They're great for that 2.30am time where the tired half of the party has gone home but the hardcore half are still there, not going anywhere and are hungry and drunk. I've fed them to meat-eaters who have no idea I'm vegan and they love that shiitake. They taste exactly like Greggs.

They are unbelievable. Taste just like I remember "real" sausage rolls tasting and my mum, who hates anything that isn't a dead animal also thought they were great.

Not to diss Stella, but omg you should find out from Holley how she makes her vegan sausage rolls. It's sosmix and stuff? Best sausage rolls ever.

I was so sad when they changed the sosmix. Sosmix + pastry = the most simple yet gorgeous sausage rolls. We used to make them massive. People would cry they were so good.

Fear not! If you can get to an Asda, they do their own brand of Sosmix which is awesome for making sausage rolls.

Sosmix (that I typed 4 times as Soxmix, which I think is a better name) and an onion chopped up reaaaallly small and (don't tell anyone) a little bit of (shhhhh) Schwartz Lamb Seasoning. It's my favourite seasoning, especially on roast potatoes. And bought puff pastry, obviously.

Oh! And I almost forgot- they also have tiny teeny mini candycanes in Poundland. Strawberry, blueberry and raspberry flavour it says on the box (though I'm not sure how you tell the difference. Sniff them, maybe?) They are so cute! I had to get a tall man to fetch them down off the shelf for me though. I hate asking for help, so I just kinda hovered around with a helpless/gormless look on my face until some dude asked me if I needed a hand.

My Christmas dinner this year is going to consist of redwoods sausages in bacon, and turkey slices. I'm SO looking forward to it! I tried their sausages at a vegan winter fayre. Best things ever. Yum! I can't say I'm that fond of the Stella McCartney sausages really, though mind you I haven't tried them in about 6 months.

not sure if this counts as party food - more festive food, but:
SAINSBURY'S FREE FROM MINCE PIES!
They are delicious! One of the best shop bought mince pies I have ever tasted, if a little sweet. The pastry is brilliant, especially considering that it is gluten free as well as vegan. Gluten free products I have tried in the past have been either too gummy or too crumbly; but not this pastry. If any of you eat just one mince pie this christmas, please make sure it is this one.
