Hey there all you UK PPKers! The summer isn't so far away now- who might be interested in a gathering? Any ideas for what we could do and where to do it? Last year we stayed in a yurt, which had advantages and disadvantages (oh Lard the slug on the toilet paper!).

I'd love to, but it depends when. Pretty much all of August and September are out for me. Which I guess is when the best summertimes are. So... maybe I'm out? Where did you go last year?

Mendalian, last year we stayed in a yurt in Dorset. We went to Monkey World, ate loads of junk food, went to the beach and paddled in our undies, made super cool and beautiful friendship bracelets and were basically very silly for three days. It was awesome!
I can only do summer holidays, so end of July, all of August, but I am very flexible in those times.

I just double-checked the dates for the Olympics/Paralympics, and they start in July. There are a couple of weekends in August I might be free, but I'll need that time to find somewhere to live in Manchester. Maybe next year for me.

Oh yes! I would be up for the yurt again? It was super cheap and very awesome and there were ponies.

Oh my god Elvis. But maybe we should aim higher and see if we can get the digs with a hot tub this time?

I probably can't make it this year, and definitely not if it's at the yurt again. I can't book any air travel until I get my travel documents back, and I can't get to that area fast enough without flying. But if it's somewhere that's cheap and fast enough to get the train to, I'm I might be able to make it.

Are those places people'd be interested in? If we did Manchester Mendilian could look for somewhere to live too! I'd be pretty up for a weekend somewhere Northern but the only non-Olympic August weekend I'm free is the weekend of the 18th. Oh & it'd have to be cheap, I'm travelling so much this year that I can't really justify another trip unless it's cheap!

I really like the idea of bringing a group of PPKers with me to flat viewings and conducting group interviews.

Hmph. I can't believe you didn't all jump at my fabulous suggestion. Wasted on you!
Right, just for that, I'm changing my suggestion to going to Lakeland.
