I'm going to Las Iguanas tonight with the students from my course. I had never heard of this place, it's a Latin American style chain restaurant, my initial investigations suggest they seem pretty vegan friendly. I just called them to check that there would be something I can eat, I didn't have to explain what a vegan was (she checked with me though, "that's no dairy, no eggs, no honey and obviously no meat right?") and there seemed to be a selection of veganisable things (asking to remove sour cream or cheese). I'm excited.

Has anyone been? I shall report back!

Oooh I've been! We used to go there on work nights out before Wagamama opened. I remember there was a spicy fajita thing that people always ordered & I remember having some kinda wrap...and there were curly fries!

I've been to happy hour a few time but have not eaten there. The one in Spitalfileds is next to Mr. B's office so we go after her gets out of work.

Let us know how it is and what you get.

I am in for an evening snack sometime!

Weird, I work not far from Spitalfields (Moorgate).

It was good! I had 5 mushroom fajitas which were very good. We also had some cocktails that I'm pretty sure had only a teaspoon of alcohol in, but they tasted alright.

We should definitely go together.

Ooh, I've heard good things about Las Iguanas. If a PPK meet does happen, I'm down for it!

I went there! They made me some kind of chili and beans and rice and vegetables and I ended up having leftovers the next night. It was good! My boyfriend works pretty much next door (Spitalfields right?).

I know it is fast but what about next Thursday, March 3rd? For Happy Hour drinks (for those who imbibe) and snacks?

I guess this isn't going to happen this week, which is cool bc I have to plan for an Ireland trip this weekend and I have annoying friend in town to entertain.

Maybe when it is nice out and we can sit outside.

I'd say it is one of the worst Mexican food places that I've been too, but at the same time they were very good at catering for vegans. It is a shame that the chimichangas aren't made on site and therefore can't have the cheese/other dairy removed. When I want Mexican I usually grab a burrito from Chilangos, Benito's Hat or Tortilla.
