my parents just moved to Worcester and I'll be visiting them for about a little bit next week. last time I was there, we went to Evo and it wasn't bad, but I wasn't too impressed. are there any other places of interest that I missed? it seemed that when I searched for vegan-friendly establishments, a lot of them didn't exist anymore. and while I can go crazy over Trader Joe's all day every day, I do want to explore further now and then.

also... is there anything to do there? :/ I think I'll be planning an excursion to Boston for a day or two, but for the most part I'll be stuck in Worcester for a good solid week.

I'm not sure if this is up-to-date, but there are several Worcester restaurants listed:

If you get in Boston, The Pulse Cafe, True Bistro, Peace 'o Pie, and Grasshopper are all excellent options!!! More on the Boston Veg Society's restaurant page.

Have fun!!!

There is stuff to do in Worcester! Not much, but some...

Higgins Armory is pretty neat (I haven't been there in years, but I went a bajillion times as a kid!) and the Worcester Art Museum is good if you like to look at art. :3

As for food, Nancy Chang's is pretty decent, as is Loving Hut (which is all greasy bad-for-you but totally delish food.) I haven't been there yet, but there's a place called Flats that just opened up, which has vegan pizza. My favorite eatery in Worcester though HAS to be Da Lat. They only have a few vegan options, but they are sooooo goooood!

Sahara. Just order various appetizers.

Ed Hyder's baba gannouj. Yeah, I keep going on about it, but I miss it. :(

ok, so I'm officially in Worcester! tomorrow I have the day all to myself, albeit without a car, so I might just go exploring the forested area around my parents' place.

I went to the art museum last time I was here and was surprised at how much awesome stuff they had, it was amazing. :D I wanna check out the armory for sure.

I might make it out to Boston on Saturday, and if I do I'm gonna try my damnest to get to Piece o' Pie. :9

I'm a little late to the party, but... VegWorcester! I'm pretty sure the info there is up to date.

I really want to go to the EcoTarium next time I'm back there but who knows when that'll be.

I went to the Belmont Vegetarian Restaurant for dinner tonight and it was such a cute experience. the owner let me sample all the food on the menu before picking what I wanted. I got the veggie stew and sweet and sour chicken, and they were delicious! he also told me that on Fridays and Saturdays he makes a mac and cheese that's really popular, so I will definitely try to stop by tomorrow for lunch maybe.
