There's already absinthe at our place! It's a brand I dislike, so I will encourage you to help yourselves.

I have finally decided what I am bringing! I will be bringing a bean salad. It can be an appetizer or a side.
Yay, I'm so excited about this!

With the (amazing) hot weather, our place is really warm. I will be sure to make lots of ice cubes tonight, but basically dress for a sauna.

I didnt have the energy to make baklava or cupcakes, plus transporting them in a cupcake carrier on the subway during rush hour would be a pain so i made coconut lime cookies!

You guys are going to know just how much I love you when you see this ginormous pan of mac & cheese (which I got up early to make, before my sunny kitchen becomes unbearably hot)!

I'm psyched! I had to make the kibby last night, since I was afraid all the cooking would make our place unbearable for y'all tonight. And VFR, the cookies sound delicious!

I made Pistachio-Dusted Chocolate-Raspberry Truffles from Party Vegan. They're not very pretty but they're damn tasty.

I'm thinking about getting ouzo as an aperitif and limoncello as a digestif. Those seemed to fit the "theme" of the meal well.
Want me to grab some lemonade, iced tea, or something non-alcoholic to have as well? I'll definitely be passing WF on the way.
I'm jealous that y'all had time to cook! I've been home like 18 hours in the last 6 days and spent 16 of those sleeping!

Also, I have ~2/3 of a bag of pepperjack Daiya... I opened it 2 days ago but it's been sealed in the fridge. If anyone wants it, I can bring it. Otherwise it is going in the trash... turns out, I find the flavor vile and I can't think of anyone else I know who would want it.

I was going to make bread (seeing as I'm probably biking, yummy side dishes/etc aren't quite as much an option/I was uninspired/no time now!) but got held up. So expect yummy muffins instead.*
*Disclaimer: Probably somewhat squished. Oh well.

I wouldn't worry about bringing anything else; that sounds like enough! For people who prefer not to drink alcohol, we have water, soymilk, and (natural) root beer. If you want anything else, feel free to bring it!

Kofte was a success! Also, I'm Beth and mr bap is Adam, so I don't have to introduce myself as bap, which always makes me feel weird.

Alas, the crazy-ass atmospheric developments here in central MA have aborted my plans. It only just let up with the lightning and the torrential downpour, and I now have two very anxious pets whom I'd be loathe to leave (the dog is glued to my side, and the cat has yet to emerge from beneath the armchair were he's spent the past 90 minutes). So I'm afraid we'll have to take a raincheck; have a blast, guys (and if you must talk about me behind my back, please try to keep it clean)!
