http://www.sowaopenmarket.com/ this looks super awesome! I'll be in Boston on Sunday and I'm gonna set a million alarms to make sure I can make it to this (since I have a flight to catch in Worcester at 2pm). will anyone else be attending? will there be any vegan-specific food trucks or goodies in general I should scope out?

Alina wrote: will there be any vegan-specific food trucks or goodies in general I should scope out? That's wishful thinking! It looks like the Clover Food Truck is going to be there, so you'll have something to eat, but Boston is not Portland! Sowa's ok (and pandacookie was there once, which was awesome), but I don't think it would be a highlight of a trip to Boston.

We were there on opening weekend. In the farmer's market section, there was a little table with a woman selling vegan desserts. She had the best cupcakes and whoopie pies I have ever tasted.
Ever.

If you head there in the morning, you might miss some of the rain. I may go, weather pending. I always say that though, and I've never gone. I think I'd want to go a week when I could ride my bike though, and I'm not so much for riding in the rain yet.

Dr. A is the best. I also got to briefly meet gato when I did the market.

when it gets warm I'm thinking the perfect cheesy Sunday date will be going to take a ride in the swan boats in the Garden and then going over to SoWa to get cupcakes.

The adjacent vintage market is pretty cool, too. I've gotten some nice jewelry there.

Pshaw! It is always nice when a friendly face shows up at a craft fair. It is a long day of setting up, selling and tear down. It really makes a difference when someone stops by, just to say hello.

I went yesterday--it was a little cold, but fun! I got a mini-'hostess' cupcake that was phenominal and an excellent sandwich from the Clover food truck. I also picked up a Mahalo bar to tuck away for a rainy day. I wish I had more cash so I could have bought some art. There was one artist that I adored, but buying art isn't a budget priority right now. Beautiful jewelry and neat cards, too. I'll definitely be back if anything just for Clover and more sweets from that vegan baker!
