I secretly want to be best friends with everyone on the PPK, but I'm trying to be frugal lately, which makes restaurant meet-ups harder. Sooooo I'd love to have people over for a potluck/dinner sometime within the next month!
I still need to finalize my own schedule for the next couple weeks first, but what I'd like to do is gauge interest and/or narrow down a weekday that works for people. SO, when would you be able to come to a dinner party in Central Square, Cambridge? What days of the week generally work well for you, what days don't work at all? (I personally prefer weekdays over weekends for dinner parties, but can go either way.)
The night would probably consist of me making a lot of food and asking attendees to bring sides or drinks or desserts. We don't have much table space at our place, but we have do ample seating as long as you don't need a table. Also, our place is a third-story unit with more cats than rooms, so people unable to accommodate stairs or felines may have to sit out this round (sorry!).

I like early-in-the-week dinner parties because then I can have time to prepare a dish/dessert over the weekend. But I'd be happy with whenever, really!

Weekdays don't really work for me, but it sounds like a fun idea!

Yea! I'd probably definitely be in, just depends on particular scheduling day and whatnot. Yea! I'm really looking forward to meeting more people/seeing people again in real life.

I can do weeknights after work, I think pretty much Monday, Tuesday and Thursday are good. I'm cat deprived so I'd really come over to just play with your cats creepily.

Quarantined, the cats are GREAT. Some are more interested in playing than others, but you will get much cat-love.
I am totally down for this! Basically any night works for me at this point.

I'm glad other people are into this! (How sad would it be if I had started this thread and no one replied? I have stress dreams about exactly that kind of thing!) Anyway, I'm superbusy until Monday, but when I get back we'll narrow down a date.

Perhaps you will be more likely to come if I promise to play the entire Last Five Years soundtrack from start to finish? **eyebrow wiggle** (...then again, no one else might come if I promise that.)

You will definitely get my wife's attention with that, she's been trying to get the soundtrack since we saw the show in college. Somehow every time she comes upon it though, she passes it up for "next time." :)

Keeping my eye on this. Depending on the day/date/time I might be able to come.
Btw- the very first week of June would be best for me.

Okay, all, I'm back! And ready to pick a date. PLEASE go here: http://www.doodle.com/4syxgetx4kyrbxwu. Enter your name, and select which dates you are available to attend. It'd be great if I could have everyone's feedback by Thursday or Friday at the latest, in case we pick a close date like this weekend. This way we can see which date is best for the most people.

It looks like the best date for everyone is Wednesday, June 1st. (Except Quarantined and jillrenee--sorry, you two! definitely next time.) Time will be 7:30.
Please let me know: 1.) If you are attending, and 2.) if you have any food allergies/intolerances/dislikes? (This can be via PM if you want to avoid cluttering the thread.)
After I hear how many are coming and what people can't eat, I'll figure out what to make and what to ask you-all to bring (ie, sides, desserts, drink, etc).
I'm excited!
