Why can't I get excited about the cheesesteak? Did I get a crappy one? Is something wrong with me? I never had one as an omnivore so it's not as though I was trying to make a comparison.

Also, my order took 8 billion years (because there was only 1 guy running the register and bringing food to everyone), and my boyfriend didn't get his drink until awhile after we'd finished eating. Where's my french toast cupcake?!?! That would definitely improve my opinion of this place.

Maybe they didn't give you enough aioli! That's really what sealed the deal for me.

Yeah, the French Toast cupcake sounds like my dream come true.

They put all of their recipes online! Better save them in case their site eventually goes down. http://www.thepulsecafe.com/recipes.html

I am really sorry to see them go.

Being in RI, I managed to make it to Pulse just once, and I am sorry to say that I didn't see myself wanting to make a trip back.

I was really excited when I first saw their menu online, but between what I felt was a lacking atmosphere as well as a disappointing representation of that menu, it's unfortunately not incredibly surprising to me.

I'm realizing I may have sounded a bit harsh, and that wasn't my intention as I don't derive enjoyment out of seeing a vegan business have to close down. I will note that they had good "milk"shakes and the staff was very pleasant, so good luck on future endeavors to all those involved.

I'm really sad that they're going out of business. That said, a glance at their recipes makes me think that the people who make Vegenaise must be even sadder - they must have been buying that stuff by the fucktonne!

Yeah, that explains why I've always loved Pulse. (Their aioli recipe! Now I understand how it was so delicious.)
