...for a lonely Boston college student? I really, really need to get out of my room more often and sitting in here is driving me crazy. What are some cheap and fun things to do in Boston? I really like educational things but pretty much anything I'm open to right now. I've been to the MFA probably a trillion times but if there's a cool exhibit open right now or coming in the future, I'd be interested in that, too. Degas in the Nude just doesn't "wow" me.

Not sure if you already know this, but if you have a library card you can get free passes to all kinds of museums: http://www.bpl.org/general/circulation/ ... passes.phpYou have to reserve them in advance, and you can only do one every 30 days, but it's pretty cool. I know the libraries also have free movies, but I've never been to one. It's tough to think of cheap things to do during the winter here.

Also, have you just walked through the BPL? There's some pretty amazing artwork in there.
And sometimes you get lucky...my wife and I were walking through one day and looking at an old map, one of the map curators happened to notice, so she pulled out a TON of historical maps of Boston and let us look through them.

I've walked through BPL but I've apparently not been walking in the right places, haha. I keep hearing about all of the awesome stuff there but haven't seen it....only books.
