Cafe de Boston opened last month at the corner of Franklin and Devonshire. It is mostly turkish/middle eastern but they have deli, pizza and bakery as well. My favorite thing is the meze bar which is set up like a salad bar with tons of yummy middle eastern vegan items. They have the standards (hummus, babaganoush, tabbouleh) but also red lentil kofte, turkish okra, several bean salads, eggplant salad and other more unusual items. There is also a hot food bar which seems to have at least one vegan option each day (today was a chickpea stew that made me swoon) and many soup choices.
If you work downtown or find yourself downtown during the week, give it a try.
ETA - most items in the meze bar are clearly labeled with the ingredients.

No way! I saw the menu for this in my office's lunchroom, but I didn't look that close. Sounds kind of similar to Kebab House, actually.
There's also D'Guru on Devonshire, just down the street from Cafe De Boston, which is Indian. They seem to have a couple vegan dishes available most days (and they're even labeled "Vegan," usually).

Cafe de Boston is the same owner as Boston Kebab House. I LOVE D'Guru and they've always had at least 2 vegan choices every time I've been. I haven't been lately because I'm trying to eat healthier. They have big portions and I'm a clean plate ranger!

No wonder it sounds familiar then! Same owner as Sultan's Kitchen on State st, too.
The portions at D'Guru really are insane. I went last week with a group of coworkers and we split 4 meals between 7 of us and still didn't finish.

I have to go downtown to go to the bank today, so I might try to hit this place up if I have time.

yeah unfortunately a lot of stuff downtown and near the Financial District is closed on weekends because they cater to all the State Street people, people doing serious business, etc.
I did get over there today and I loved it. The muhammara is so freaking good! I wish it was closer to my work so I could justify going more.

That's what I thought... I don't work down there anymore and was hoping to make a weekend sightseeing trip with my kiddo and just wanted to find some place fun to eat.
