A friend of mine just started a community center in Northampton, The Owl and Raven (
http://owlandraven.org/). The grand opening is on Friday. It's going to be a great community space for everyone. Y'all should check it out!

During daytime hours, we offer a space for independent and collaborative creative work: writing, illustrating, comic making, programming, animating, crafting, storytelling, and reading. We’re a place to meet those coffee shop regulars you’ve been too shy to say hello to. If you’re feeling inspired, come to share that inspiration. If you’re feeling uninspired, come to get unstuck.
On weekday afternoons, Owl and Raven is transformed into a lively youth center. During these times, we offer a variety of youth programming – from a day of board games and homework help to an ongoing roleplaying adventure!
On weeknights, Owl and Raven is a community skillshare space. Skillshare classes are always free, and we are always looking for experienced community members to facilitate these discussions. Owl and Raven is also available as a low-cost meeting space for artists, book clubs, classes, and the like.
On Friday and Saturday night, Owl and Raven provides a nighttime alternative to the bar scene. We’re open late for movies, music, artwork, and midnight snacks!
