I was there! I only ate the blueberry cookies from Baked and the BLT and rice krispy treat from The Owlery, but they were good.
Are you an IU student?

Baszilla, I was there and thought the food was really good. Unfortunately, by the time we got to the front of the line at 1:00, several things had already run out.
Quark, are you talking about the Indianapolis event yesterday? I didn't see Baked or The Owlery there.

I'd be in for a potluck at some point! As long as I remember to actually check this thread more than once a month >.<

Yeah, I'd be down for a potluck too. Preferably in Indy, but I'm cool with heading to Bloomington, as well.

Abstract Nonsense,
You could subscribe to this topic. Then you would be notified when someone posts something and wouldn't have to remember to check. That's what I do. Just a thought.

Hey everyone- I didn't get to read through this entire thread since i'm short on time but- I'm newly Vegan as of Sept 1st and I live in New Whiteland (near greenwood, Indianapolis). I loooove Thai Spice and Mai Thai Cafe, and often go to Yats (though at my Thai places they aer listed Vegetarian you can get tofu and ask for no egg or whatever). Would love if anyone could point out other options!

Why did the tofu cross the road? To prove he wasn't chicken.

Hey guys! I'm about to resettle in Indy for awhile and I'm looking forward to more yummy meet ups! Anyone have thanksgiving plans? I was thinking to do a PPK potluck sometime in the runup, maybe the week before? I could host at my little apartment in downtown Indy. Anyone interested? My other planned thanksgivings would all be omnivorous and I want one that's purely vegan!

I'm free Thanksgiving or the day after. Who wants to do a potluck? I'm down for that. Persimmon pudding! Green Bean Casserole! Movies!
Who's house? I'd be happy to host.

Who's house? I'd be happy to host. Yay! I think the day after would work best for me. I could also host, but that might restrict the number of people who can come since my apartment is... cozy. I'm excited for a vegan Thanksgiving potluck!

I can make green bean casserole and/or sweet potato casserole.

Let me review it with Vince and we'll get this confirmed. Do you mind if Vince and the kids are around?

I think I can do that. Do we know where yet? If it's not in Bloomington, I'll probably need a ride.

Green bean casserole Sweet potato casserole Isa's Mac n 'Shews Pumpkin Cheesecake
I'd be up for making two of these things.

I'm on a bit of a pie kick! Thinking of bringing a fruit pie, but also something savory. Haven't decided what the savory item will be... A grain/bean salad perhaps?
Quark: I love the sound of both those casseroles, myself! Also, if you want to carpool, I'd be up for that. Or if anyone driving down from Indy wants to carpool, just let me know. I live downtown.

I can make my infamous seitan wings and some sort of side. Can anyone bring drinks? I abstain from alcohol, but any of you are welcome to BYOB, so long as you take it with you when you leave and arrange for a designated driver if you really like getting your drink on.

Okay, today I picked up a loaf of Great Harvest cranberry orange bread (yum!) and stuff to make green bean casserole.
The drink thing is complicated since I'm coming from Indy. I looked for red wine today but struggled to find anything definitively vegan. If people aren't too concerned about the pure veganity of the wine, I can bring red wine. Or I could maybe pick up some chilled beer or wine in Btown right before the party. But... I really don't need booze to enjoy a vegan meal!
