Just a heads-up on two upcoming vegan events here in MKE!

This year's Milwaukee Area Resources for Vegetarians-sponsored vegan Thanksgiving feast/buffet/potluck will be on Saturday, November 19 at Wil-O-Way Underwood (10602 Underwood Parkway, Wauwatosa). Please arrive for seating at 5 PM; dinner will be served at 5:30.
Advance registration is required. Suggested donations are $7 for adults & teens ($3 for children 5-12) who bring a dish to pass, and $13 for adults & teens ($6 for children 5-12) who don't.

Two weeks later, on Saturday, December 3, the 4th bi-annual Milwaukee vegan bake sale will be happening at the Urban Ecology Center's Riverside Park branch (1500 E. Park Place, Milwaukee). I'm hoping the sale theme will be winter holiday 'classics' -- gingerbread, thumbprints, snowballs, snickerdoodles, you know the drill. We'll also have a limited number of cute little gift bags for you to give to the herbivores on your list (or devour all by yourself). And possibly some homemade hot cocoa. And/or vegan nog. Let's do this up right, is what I'm saying.

We'd love to see you at the bake sale! There will be so many yummy treats.

Awwww yeah. We now have THIRTEEN volunteer bakers for the bake sale! (More than twice the number from any of my previous bake sales = A+ awesome.) Proceeds will be split between Urban Ecology Center and Milwaukee Animal Rescue Center. And Ste Martaen's vegan food truck is stopping by the bake sale to serve everyone a late lunch!
